Same time(6PM EST/11PM GMT), different room, however. The new official AoMH ESO room is Phlegethon. No news yet on the new animation. If anyone has a good transparency animation(or animation that has the same background color as the main news page) on a mounted AoM unit like a Hetairoi, I'd consider it.

See you all there!

lol im going to ruin my rating again right before this forum party like i did last week...it's just fun trying stupid strats...im trying the one i did last week...it has to throw someone off...so don't be suprised with my 1650 score again

i really wanna get a unlocked team ffa so it can be shimo-ish

btw is it possible to make a map where u start with something (similar to a king) and a hill fort/fortress/midgol (like sea of worms) and make a condition where if whatever that thing similar to a king is dies they lose...because i really want shimo back lol...it was the best part of the aoc forum games and just sounds like it would be even more fun with aom (the king-like guy would have to be garrisonable)

Isn't sudden death like that? Except you have to protect your fortress with no one in it. But I guess you could pretend... heh

yeah but it's not like a regular game...only 1 tc...it'd be cool to see if any of the rm scripters can do this...but even without it ffa unlocked teams sounds fun too...i remember those game were so paranoid...once 1 person decided to attack...everyone either all attacked the attacker because all his units are at other guy...or all ganged up on the attacked...it was fun if u weren't the first attacker/attacked...or even if u were it was fun fending them off

Definitely possible, if you want I can copy and convert one of the AoM maps (Alfheim, Mediterranean, Oasis, Archipelago, The Unknown, etc) into "Shimo" in 5-10 minutes. Given more time I could make my own map for it, not sure what geographic features it would have but perhaps a larger-than-usual coastal-style map for long gameplay would work. The "king" unit would probably be one of the campaign heroes.

The AOM RMS system is very powerful because it's like a programming language and allows triggers.

I'll check this post later for replies and maybe make one by 6 o'clock if there is interest.

that would be great matei...if u could start with Alfheim that'd be cool...but if u could get like a random type going of all the rush type maps that would be better (anything u can do it good though) ...(rush type would be all the maps in random i believe)

thanks again matei

hmmm what hero lol...i'll leave that to u

*is excited*

EDIT: 5:30 i will be on aom waiting for forum party maybe playing a rated...so u can give it to me at the forum party if u have it ready by then matei ...thanks again...too cool lol

That does sound fun... Do you think you could have it done before the Forum Party, that would make for a great game or at least a memorable one. LOL brings back memories of regicide matches gone horribly wrong.

I can't make it this week, wish I could though, the forum parties keep getting better and better.

Waitaminute....*thinks*

Actually, I may be able to drop in and say hi, dunno if I'll have time for any games though.

I'll be ready this time.

Anyway I think we should have some games on Erebus, or even some from the Unknown, I had one last week with FPH_Avenger, Flammifer, and Liefericson, and it was a fun game until Avenger had to go leaving me to get masscred by Flammifer and Lief...

Guys, I really apologise, but I got a call at work an hour ago that my best friend just went to the hospital. I have no idea what's going on and why, but I have to go drive 30 miles to see her. I probably won't be able to take part in the forum party at all, but I might get back for an hour or so.

I really apologise guys, just organize your own games and have fun nonetheless.

I've made five Shimo maps: Alfheim, Archipelago, Mediterranean, Midgard, and Savannah. Played on the Large size these should lead to pretty nice games, and hopefully we play on water as well as land because water is fun. You get an Arkantos that you must protect to survive, as well as a Fortress. Arkantos is nice cause he is easy to spot, self-heals, can garison, and might also be useful in battles if you're into taking risks.

I've submitted my Shimo Style Map Pack to the Downloads Section. It may not be up for download by 6:00 unless some mod takes special interest in this (*cough*) but you will probably find me online then. Meanwhile you can download the maps from http://pages.sprint.ca/matei/files/ShimoMapsV1_0.zip - make sure to right click and Save Target As.

Enjoy
