Has anyone whatched L_Clan_Pi (Set) vs. PG_Fire (Set) "for title of WCG Europe champion."? Link to download is posted on AOM home page.

Is it just me, poor noob, or my version of AOM, or the whole think is a joke? It cannot be a serious game of 2k+ players for WCG European finals. I mean, apart from some Archaic villies/animal/priest microing, it seems to me they were drinking beer and friendly chatting. And the rest of the game looks more like 1.5k- players were having a bad day.

i think it's a version problem

basically since version infos are different, the game qusi crashes when the first military contact occurs because the rec data and the game data are different and after that everything will just stay where they are and basically rec game stops (it keeps going but everything stops)

hey it's weird i was watching salska vs foxelite Odin-Isis...and toward the end..both of the players have about 10 or 20 idle troops/villes and salska is like sending one huskals at a time to a heavily guarded Midgol lol i think this might have something to do with the new patch..

Yeah, It's a bug, I tested it by watching some old rec games, same thing happens.

But my recent rec games that are saved automatically are fine

lol, I watched the same L_Clan_Pi vs PG_Fire match, Set vs Set, and yeah 10 minutes into the game they both have large slinger armies and nobody attacks, except L_Clan_Pi starts sending Merc Cav 1 by 1 to Fire's TC! It was weird because at first I was like, "Whoa, is this a strat I've never heard of before?!", and then of course after 6 or 7 minutes of no fighting I realized something was up!

LOL, this is what happened to me with one of the Forum Party games.

It was the one where 3 wonders were built, only all I saw were idle villies and a few chopping wood miles away from the storehouse.

Shame I couldn't watch it though, sounded like a good game.

Or you could just install 1.06 again to watch them and then you get 1.07 when you go online again. Takes about 1 min to switch versions.

that's a bit roundabout kraken
then i should every time install the old patch again when i want to watch a rec
