yes its true, they did, i shall have my revenge...idiot.
i played a few DM games recently after reading this post, its alot of fun. i had just as much fun playing it, as i did a regular RM game. it was DM king of the hill, never had that much fun in a long time, i actually played a few more of those.
the first game i fell victim to speed, cause i kept worrying about upgrades come to find no need, its all there.
second game i was way more aggressive and just spawned an army from max forts, come to find later, i actually ran out of resources (still won thou, but i see what you mean about the resources)
after i cleared those 2 points up then it was smooth sailing. this whole thing about micro management and all that please!! dudes just send a whole bunch of one type if unit to my base. it was spears and then he started mixing some elephants then i fought a mass of hopes and a bunch of jarls from another opponant, i did not see anything really difficult about it.
i could not tell how good my partners or opponants were everyone seemed to be getting there rumble on.
this is what i walk away with after about 4 days of playing some DM games. simple minded, not much skills needed, once you get the simple concept of build alot of buildings and your favorite or strongest units your home free, not very often is the back up resources needed.
DM sucks man, thats that, it is alot more fun than i gave it credit for thou and i guess after all thats what really counts.
But just as the smoke cleared, a red cloak of silk burnt and battle worn blew past the fire, and from the buring embers of the catapault Sir Grayhorn emerged, Jalmal's Bain still strongly grasped in his right hand and his kite shield lined with steel pierced with arrows held high in his left. The hero had endured.
