i just got this idea, that maybe in AoM fire should be a strategic element. Like in AoK, when a building was damaged a certain amount, it looked like it was on fire, but the fire didnt DO anything. I think it would be kinda cool if when a burning catapult stone, or ballista bolt, or even a burning arrow hit a building, it had a certain chance of catching fire. Of course the chance of a catapult starting a blaze would be bigger than an arrow's. And maybe villagers could put out the fire, it would add more strategy into the use of siege weapons. Buildings would burn at a certain rate, and if MORE stones/bolts/arrows hit them they might catch fire again, having a bigger blaze and taking damage even faster. Forces the defender to actually defend his town, since in theory one catapult shot into each building could destroy them, if he isnt careful. Maybe add a new building: wells, and they cant catch fire and villagers get water from them when putting out fires. So if you build wells strategically, you can put out fires no problem, but if you dont build any wells nearby, it would take forever to get water to put on the building, and the building would be destroyed. Also walls and towers should be imperivious to fire, and have alot of pierce armor (it was kind of wierd in AoK how arrows could destroy a stone wall). so anyway what do you think?
