Okay, back on topic.
I watched a documentary where they put forth the theory that the huge blocks of stone used to build the Pyramids were cast in place, not quarried then moved into position. They examined a number of broken blocks and found they contained the proper quantities of plant and microscopic animal life to have been cast using water from the Nile. But, they also could have been quarried from an area which was a one time under water. The mix of items in the stone did not suggest river sediment though, as it was too evenly mixed throughout the blocks.
This would explain many incongruities in the moved into place supposition, like quantity of labor available, and the minor problem that there were not enough trees in the entire region to roll that many blocks on, if they could even withstand the weight / pressure, which they should not be able to do.
So if this theory holds up, then the Egyptians of that era were a lot smarter than we have given them credit for. Consider the engineering required to build a modern dam, using cement and steel, then consider casting a Pyramid in place, a much larger structure, and without modern cement / concrete.
Aliens? No! Humans, and not such dull witted humans at that!
Please leave religion out of this, this is human engineering, plane and simple!
