I was just hoping that someone would know why when you chaos or traitor a unit, it looses all it's upgrades???? It's because of this that Chaos and Traitor aren't great powers, and Lampades special isn't fantastic either.
Why didn't ES just make the unit change teams, then it would keep all it's upgrades, instead of making it reborn? I know it's possible, because remember AoE and AoE2! When ever a unit was converted, it retained it's upgrade, and not only that, but it was known as a converted unit, and therefore any futhur upgrades you did did not effect it.
If AoE 1 & 2 can do that, and they are so much older and more primative than AoM, why would they go backward in programming in AoM??? It seems illogical! Obviously it's easier to programme it so that the old unit vanishes and a new unit appears, but since they already had a technique of converting units WITHOUT loss of upgrades, why wouldn't they use it for the supposedly more modern AoM? Bit sus, sure it would mean a little more work, but wouldn't it mean a better quality game? And it's not like they had no idea how to do it, or it was something new, for goodness sake, they've been able to do it since AoE!
