Next 3 games I get Isis on Mediterranean and lose all 3.
Loki/Isis always feels like quite a mismatch to me, in particular on water maps. So I'm looking for some help.
The main problems I find are (on any map): Obviously you could say dont raid the base, raid villies outside, but in the early stage they're always within the base. By the time the villies are roaming outside, most Isis players have already used prosperity to gain a significant eco advantage and as Loki has no real eco boosts it quickly turns ugly. On water maps its even worse - they can get to classic before you, and use sea serpents to take the water very soon, there really seems nothing to do in this case. I tried letting them have the water in the early going then using krakens to take it back in heroic, but the eco adv they get from fishing by this time, coupled with other Isis eco boosts, leaves me in no position. Anyone with tips for Loki v Isis please help. I've checked out some recs but to be honest I have to wonder how old some of those recs are as play seems a higher standard at the moment. - A loki rush doesn't work particularly well against any egypt, because of:
- free towers in classic
- the priest and pharaoh rape loki's myth units
Isis is particularly hard because
- cheaper age advance means they get to classical really early ->
- momument prevents undermine
- plague of serpents, while easily taken care of by hersir, hold them up enough to get shot to hell by towers and TC.
