umm....AoK was a one of the greatest games. Thousands STILL PLAY. They went to make AoM to go a bit out of their regualr historic path and now they are going back( which is GREAT) I like AoK...god powers and myth can be fun but then again...i liked the crazy battles of AoK(if any of u remember, more fun but long) Most Age players think as AoM as a bonus but AoK and AoE3 as the roots of their gaming.

I can agree with this in part that AOK was the root of their gaming, but most i have found view AOM as a MAJOR upgrade. AOK battles were way too long and drawn out. They got major boring IMHO.

Ya thats why everyone is going to AoE3...including the experts of AoM...hmm...ya....5000 people on AoE3 and it just came out is considered to have blown it(sarcasim)

Dude, everyone went and tried the game. I have it too. The graphics were cool and all, but it is not as replayable as AOM. Just because people went and bought AOE3 does not mean they are leaving AOM. I agree that the number of players online will be higher for AOE3 from now on, but the descrepency between the two will lessen and lessen as more and more players, like me, who have both games realize that AOE3 is pretty much a crap RTS with good graphics.

Sadly..yes....you 50 people that say that are gonna stay....thats like 1 percent of the people that are playing AoE3 and it was released recently.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You are way wrong here too. I got on AOM this weekend and it had almost 3,000 players, many of whom could have been playing AOE3 because they owned it and realied its crappiness. 3,000 is not 5,000, but is is still comparable and will be even more so once people start realizing that AOM is a much more balanced and replayable game of skill. Once people get over the graphic WOW, they will come flooding back in droves. If not, oh well, 3,000 people is still more than enough to easily find a game.

and there WONT be AoM2....who even said that it might be...think about it...u need 3 DIVERSE MYTHOLOGIES
That takes out any more religion ranging from Christianity to Islam to Hindu. Romans are the same as Greeks except different names for gods. Zeus is Jupiter. Dragons are chinese but thats ONE race and only dragon is the myth. Dont think much there is depth in Chinese mythology (prove me wrong)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Huh? You are really wrong here too. AOM was a HUGE success and highly acclaimed. Ensemble would be idiots not to make another.
First, i lived in China and Korea for 3 years and yes, they do have a very in-depth ancient mythology with Gods and mthical creatures. Tokebi, magical tigers, dragons, ect. A chineese mythology is one option.
Second, there are many other diverse mythologies in the ancient world. For example, the pagan religions of polynesia are a great start. They have loads of Gods and goddesses with mythical creatures who were their servants. Another is the ancient religions of the babalonians. Another is the mythical dieties and creatures worshiped in the south americas.
There are at least four other very diverse and very in-depth mythologies that could be represented in an AOM2.
1) The Chineese
2) The Aztecs
3) The Polynesian
4) The bablonian
