I really have problems during the late game.... no its not only mythic... super late classic or heroic give me trouble too! I am using zeus whos supposed to have a very good late game. Ill explain:

My start is great, I usually have the first rank (f4) by far by making many villies having much resources, advincg first without eco porblems, building temple and suff. Then, I dont know what happens.... I dont seems to understand what i do wrong.

Yes, I buy armory upgrades, I upgrade my towers, I raid (early mostly), I upgrade my soldiers, I use my GPs, I build mutliple barracks, I use mixed armies and I have enought or all of the control of the map.

But... I dunno when the figthing starts any civ or army seems to win mine... (yes and Im greek)

What can I do???? Do u have any tipss??? secrests???? anyhting!?!?

Thnk u very much

All i can suggest is to AQ the counter to what your opponent from your stables/miltary/archery range, keep AQ villies to until you can reach mythic then start pumping out myrmidons and colossus which should beat most combos then if needed get titan

hope this helps

Your fighting battles you can't win. Never fight until you are sure you can win. While your waiting to make your army big/strong enough, raid. When you claim additional TC's build villagers out of them too. It's sounds like your on Vanilla too, so remember to build MU cause those really help you in your army strength.

Many times you not only need to micro your units, but you need to back away from fights near your opponents Towers. Pick your place to fight and draw your opponents units into your Tower range, or the place of your choice. Only fight in the open if you have a clear advantage.

BTW - never stop raiding. Econ = units, thus < econ = fewer units.

FAILURE is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.

I think what he means is that,
by raiding your enemy, you attack his villagers so that they bolt(run away and stop gathering)
a bolting villager is as good as dead. You don't have to kill the villagers, just make them bolt. since after good raids they won't have a good economy, they can't make good units/get armory ups. Therefore, you win. XD

Oh yes, I was reading it wrong... :P I should try that..

I have anotehr question... greek fortresses are not that easy to mass are they??

cause when eggy I made lots of miggies but I usually cant afford more than 2 or 3 greek fortresses....

Yeah, fortresses cost 300 wood, 300 gold, and 10 favor (I think) whereas a migdol, which is 400 gold and 10 favor are a lot easier to make because eggy is so gold-dependant and usually has excess(sp?) gold. That's the reason why an eggy player can spam migdols.
Oh, and just raid raid raid. The only time you shouldn't raid is when you're fighting a big battle. In times of peace, raid raid raid.
And myrms>all norse and eggy. Greece, not so much.

For a Zeus Mythic army, you should have
A million myrms
Throw in counters to what he is using + lightning storm is gg.
Only get Plenty if the game looks like it's gonna be drawn-out for a while.

n00bing ftw.

When people say Zeus is good late game , they dont mean a long game lingering in classical or heroic. They mean mythic age +. Myrms get a bonus vs other civs human units, plus they get a bonus vs buildings and with the upgrade a bonus vs myth units. Vs other greek though, you do not get a bonus vs their human units. If you can get mythic, set up trade and prey lots you can aq Collosus' + myrms + heros.

micro can win u battles where the # of units is heavily against you, which gives u more soldiers-->more res---->even more soldiers or ups.
