on a bulding that creates units, there is a little button in the bottom right of the building screen. pressing this makes the current build que of the building automatically keep going. eg u may have 1 vil and 1 oxcart on AQ. the TC will keep making a vil and then an ox cart repeatedly

What units do you AQ? All your millitary units, or just some? Villagers? Heros? What units?

AQ ruined Titans for me. It makes the game way to easy. That's why I play vanilla.

AQ ruined titans for you? Wow. I find it so helpful. You never need to remember barracks and counter barracks, etc... unless you want upgrades. Vanilla has gotta be hard to find a gmae.

Yeah, that's why it ruined the game for me. I supposed if you just started playing it, AQ is nice, but if you've been playing the game for years, and learned how to play without it, it just oversimplifies everything and negates the advantage you have by being able to manage your villie/military production.

I don't play rated much anymore (actually, just started again, which is why I'm here instead of just in HoV), but finding supremacy games isn't that hard. I'd imagine it would be near impossible for other game types.

Off topic, I just recently had an awesome rated game against someone who was really around 1700 but didn't have the WIProxy.dll update so was at 1600. I took 4 TCs straight away, but it took me bloody ages to kill him - he just wouldn't die even though I had a huge pop advantage. At one point he almost broke into my forward base when I ran out of gold. If he'd have hung on a bit longer he might've won as I had no trade (although I had 6000 food for caravans) and one gold mine left. I even made a Titan (and admittedly used him craply) and he killed him even while I was attacking his forces. Crazy game. Him and I hope to play 2vs2 rated in the near future, although it's hard to find opponents.

On topic, I find AQ incredibly useful because you can basically set the ratio of units you want. Without it, if you have say 3 Migdols and they're grouped, you'd have to press the group number, then make 3 of each unit. With AQ, you can have like one making elephants, one making camels and chariots and the other making chariots. This gives you a nice unit combo, and you can tweak it until you find you have roughly the same army all the time when replacements arrive. Obviously you need to change it if they are taking out all of your elephants etc. Plus, you still need to manually get MUs out, and Priests too. The most use it has for me is for villagers. First TC keeps AQing until either I have 72-78 and I'm happy with my income, or I have 72-78 minus 28-30 that I will use on carvans (normally multiplayer games).

Question: Is there a hotkey for autoque? (lol XD)

"The next turn I attacked those that had been attatched, fiendishly fracturing the friendly faction fraction"
-Wartrain.

"Why not do the exciting thing and sit back, boom to a rag and use flaming weapons? - Who would have thought a Thor player could show this level of innovation?"

Not by default, but add the following line to your user.con file in ..\Age of Mythology\startup\

map ("capslock", "game", "uiToggleBuildingQueue")

This makes capslock a hotkey for auto-queue. Replace it with any other key you would rather use.

That's because it's gamex.con (or game.con for vanilla). I thought user.con sounded right when it was mentioned because there's also a user.cfg file that does things like skipping intro cinematics etc.

Well, my bad then. It says in the game.con and gamex.con files which are the game's default key mappings files that if you want to make your own key mappings then save them into user.con.

You have to make a file called user.con first, I forgot that you didn't have one to begin with. Just right click in the startup folder and click "New -> Text document". Then rename it to user.con and open it in notepad and enter the line that I wrote.

Trust me, this works. I have many more key mappings in my user.con file and it works like a charm.

Or just edit the gamex.con file <_<

It's not exactly gonna kill it, and even if it did, there's a backup on the CD.
