Originally they had planned for the music to be affected by the events in the game, right? If a battle was going out, it would be fast-paced. If economy was being focused on, and warfare was non-existant at the moment, there would be a slower-paced music style. Well, I like this idea, but I've got two questions:
1) Is it even in the game still?
2) Is it going to switch between fast and slow pace just automatically, or will there be a smooth transition? I'm srue this is what ES has planned, but any answers would be appreciated. Thank you.

1. There has been no mention of it being cut out of the game. So yes, it is still in as far was we know. I see no reason to take it out in the first place, unless ES thinks otherwise
2.I do not know nor remember from the sounds of faint videos but I think it will have a smooth transition...but I still have no idea.

The mode your talking about is called "Dynamic Musical Score". And, last time I heard, it was still in the game

The transition worked really well the last time I heard it...pretty damned smooth, and it added well to the atmosphere in the game.

My guess is that it's just a set of triggers really. As in:
If X number of battle units appear on screen from each side, cue track A.
If Y number of units are in combat, cue track B.
If Z number of units die, cue track C.
It shouldn't be that hard to do really, the only thing necessary is the proper blending.

I think it is still in and I also think it'll change smoothly.
And I hope also I'll hear it, because although I didn't change anything I never heard it in AoK.
