I generally classify a siege myth unit to be a unit which does a fair amount of crush damage or bonus vs buildings, but less effective vs other units
they are usually large and clumsy

- scarab
- behemoth
- colossus
- battle boar
etc

Do you guys find them all that useful, or is taking buildings down what siege weapons are for
is it more worthwhile to spend favor on units that are good against soldiers instead?

I find scarabs especially useful because they are less vulnerable to soldiers, destroy buildings slightly faster, and help save wood so I can make more chariots

Hekas take down buildings faster than colossus. They're great for vortex drops. With 2(30C+25H) attack, they're definitly siege MU.

Hekate > Heka Gigantes. Using them with Kronos doesn't seem to be a bad idea though as they are cheaper with him.

tbh I prefer Helios unless I'm going for a quick win with tartarian gate, but I guess that's because I don't play the 1st 15-20mins just to set up a titan like most attie players.

hekas are amazing, capable at taking down town centers and forts with ease, well worth their enormous price.
It can even defeat archaic Greek heroes (iron upgrades)!!!!!

the only unit that can defeat it in a duel is the avenger and all the other Greek heroes (Achilles, Belphon, Poly etc.)
If you don't think hekas are useful, you are out of your mind
and btw- The avenger is still the best unit period.

Rackham you are blabing.

Just our skill diffrence should say enough.

And for your comment:
1. Comparing heroic MU vs mythic MU from other civ.

2. Pets are really OP. You should know :-)

I thought the "" would indicate I was chastising you 11 You can't take me so seriously.

Yes, Fire Giants are the better MU due to their spammability and in actualy practice. But seeing as how all these 1500s keep bringing up their "amusement" by their special or their stats I thought I'd just throw that out there based on sheer face value -> which is basically their OPness vs buildings (see Whippy's comment).

And what is this "just our skill difference should say enough" bs? You can't be more than 50 points better than me or you would one of those players who drift in and out of the top 40 or so players regularily. And I'm pretty sure my knowledge of the game is not what would be seperating us in rate, it would speed, non-OCD, or a different factor if anything. Please message me on ESO if you see me and I will be sure to do likewise if I see you

the original Aom was actually better
When I first heard of atlanteans having their own civ I thought it was a stupid joke, and when I tried them out, they were just as crappy as I thought they would be, if not more
the new main menu song doesn't sound epic like it once was, and the background sucks. Also the new campaign was so cheesy that I cheated my way through it.

the only good thing about TT is all the little fix ups, like health bar hover over, ability to produce special greek units from normal buildings, auto create villagers- etc.

Well I am new to the forum so it's my first time writing and I've got to say I agree with Marclo40 about the TT campaign. It sucked. I finished only the 4 first scenarios fair and square, after that I finished the others by cheating. The original campaign was really good. In almost every other way though, TT is better than the original AoM.

as a kronos player i love behemoths, but i think battle boars are great in combat not just for buildings, their special attack is useful and 2-3 battle boars are great in a fight situation

Not really, but Fire Giants are very good and a FG + Ballista combo is very strong and this is what Norse pretty much has to rely upon if the game goes late.

Hekas are most usefull when your having trouble getting through a chokepoint. One or two hekas can majorly speed up the process.

I have to agree with Pubby on this one, but that aside I'd like to comment on Josh's post. If you have a chokepoint like that generally you should let your opponent burn his resources trying to get through there while you attack a not so heavily guarded area where you can hopefully strike a blow your opponent will likely have a hard time recovering from (e.g. a destroyer raid on a back TC or his markets [something that does not require you to waste your precious favor on Hekas]).

Long sentences ftw lol.
