This is a topic that has been on my mind for some time
who is the best and for what situations
I used to use Isis a lot when learning to play the game because of her easy to play style and adaptability
but then the FH strategy started to look very attractive and I started using Ra, Ra seemed like a purely FH god due to his chariot and camel bonus.
Both gods seem like good Fh gods, but which one would you say is better, Ra may be meant to FH, but I have heard so many people say Isis is so much better and Op.
some issues include
- Food or Gold boost Gp
- cheaper techs or priest empowering
- better/cheaper monuments or Gp blocking
- better CA and CAms or cheaper/ faster obelisks
- besides ecilpse + ancestors, is Nemph really a good choice
- Isis can't get Ptah or Sek
- Ra can't get Nemph or Thoth
- Skin of Rhino or flood of Nile Tech
Who do you think is a better FH god?
and please stay on topic

I just want to see other people's opinions
I know they are very similar and I play Isis/Ra about the same amount, but I do notice that Isis seems to be more popular on ESO
Perhaps people could try to convince me to play as their favorite more

2+ Ra's on a team is like super rain. One goes ptah-sek, other goes bast-hathor. I'd say it'd beat 2 isis.

rain helps all farms, except your farming speed is increased the most according to the infro on this god power. I believe it to be true becuase when you have a Ra ally and they rain for an fh, you never have as much food as when you rain yourself.
As for rain v prosperity. They are completely different gods and these god powers dictate essentially what strats they use. I dont think its that significant. Rain allows you to set up a decent, constant food eco early. That has advanatges. Prosperity allows you to get more gold, so more ppl on food or other res to get to the heroic easily.
isis is definately got an upper hand on ra in terms of fh v fh. Ra doesnt have aggresive god powers when hitting heroic. Swarm is mostly redundant v isis. Sometimes you get to use it. rarely if they know what they are doing.
Isis eco is weaker than a ra eco early in the game play, but the problem is, as i have some experience playing ra, a ra army when doing a stright fh cannot compete with an isis army which has a/e ofc, so you end up putting off your attack and thus letting them boom. If you attack early you risk getting pawned by a/e. If you wait too long you just get rolled becuase thier eco catches up and they have a big army + a.e
I belive you need greater skill as a ra fh to beat an isis fh simply becuase you can get a strong army quickly.
A few times i have played isis and deliberately Fm'ed against ra fh. Meteor + a,e on thier base kills most farms and thier tc. Along with villies. If you can get a good 10min on most maps an ra who adv at 8 mins will have only a small army. Ive done this a couple of times, once v a good ra player, solid 1780 ra fh. Hit him with meteor and a.e and it was gg. Catapults and elephants and chariot. His eco is ruined. He lost resources, and its not a hard start.
So summing up, Ra does have problems to stright FH v isis FH. I think the best solution is a semi fh with preists and a few slingers. Problem is, hunting and farming transition with ra can be difficult, and transitioning between hunt and farms to rain and hit heroic earlyish is a hard thing to get right. Something i have never done well but i just keep getting pawned by isis v ra, maybe i should try it. lol
