I recently started playing AoM again. I've played a good ten games in the last two days and I have encountered a strange phenomenon that bothers me. I usually start the game with a 'good luck friend' and then finish the game with a 'gg' but the responses I have gotten back are not quite as courteous.
In the first game I started with my 'good luck friend' but my opponent responded with an 'FU' to which I responded 'very well then... prepare to die.' I felt that if he was going to use that sort of language against me that I should inform him that I was going to try all that much harder to kill him. I thought it fair.
In another game I fought a Norseman for the Mediterranean and got to Heroic Age at which point he resigned. I gave him a 'gg' and he responded by saying 'actually it was boring as hell.'
It seems that in the absence of the Great and illustrious General Septimus there has been a decline in Netiquett. I'm sure that this forum community is exempt from the decline of course, but has anyone else noticed a rudeness factor when playing on ESO lately?
