Ok. So I play vanilla. 1600~. So I get a game, I'm Isis vs Zeus on Mediterranean. I build a dock n fishing. He advances about 20 seconds before me, so he pops his longboat first and eventually kills my water. So I lose food. What should I do? Should i rebuild a dock in a different spot and try to kill his water and get the better eco? Or should i just focus on the rest of my economy and forget about it? Lost the game btw.

Since you lost, do the opposite of whatever you did.

So Eurotool, it's generally worth it to reclaim water on maps like Nile/Medit?

You should have multiple docks going into classical.
You shouldn't lose water so fast, as you can garrison your ships in dock and hold him off for a long time.
In mythic it is worth it to reclaim water, as you an get siege ships to take out their buildings.

I can train u AoM Medit Isis...whisper me, I'm lately on ArF_JHuB_ or SebastienBenett
You should watch some Expert Recs first, but for some fast advice...I use Flip's BO which ensures the fastest advance time if lucky and get Boars (around 3:55):
Starting Vill 1 - Granary
Starting Vill 2 + Pharaoh - Dock (and make 2 FSs immediately, if it wasn't obvious), then a House, then Vill to Straggler Tree and Pharaoh to Granary
Priest goes in circle around base first, to find Pigs (don't make Obelisks until you got a Stable eco
3 Vills to Food
1 Vill to Straggler Tree (and make 3rd Fishing Ship ASAP)(after I make 3rd Fishing Ship I usually put the Wood vills to Food, but you can let them continue and make more Fishing Ships and slow down your advance a bit)
2 Vills to Gold and when you get 100 Gold make Temple with both ASAP
The rest of villagers go all to Food, whether it's Pigs or Boars
You should ideally click advance at 2:55, but it's very hard to do that. Anyway, you should have 9-10 Vills to Wood after you re-arrange them, 4-5 Vills to Gold (and Prosperity in transition to Classical) and 1 Villager building 2nd Dock then Houses.
Make Kebenits ASAP and use Snakes on his Docks
BTW you can also let the vills gather food a few more seconds so you can build a Monument if you're facing Gods with GPs like Pestilence/Snakes, etc)

Is it really worth going Anubis for the sea snakes?

Yep, it's the difference between a lost sea fight and a won one :P
Anubis is a very good minor god on AoM, I use him on all water Maps and on open maps vs Norse/Greek (you go Anubis vs them on close maps too, but I prefer Bast for A/E)
Snakes might not be a spectacular GP, but, again, it makes the difference between a lost fight and a won one, and should always be used aggressively or to secure 2nd Gold Mine..
Anubites are OP to annoy Norse noobs

I understand that, but I am talking about a 1v1 on Mediterranean.

Lol AoM grush can easily be beaten by a later advance with more Docks and uber eco until 1900 (and Isis can do it at any level, but Zeus and Poseidon are un-beatable on highest levels though)..something which DaP doesn't know, of course...

Stop nit-picking your way to winning this ''debate'' First of all you don't even play vanilla so you don't have much of an idea and just speak of theory.
There are a couple of strats Isis can do on AoM Medit, not just one:
3:50-4:30 Grush with 2 Docks, with various BOs
4:30 -5:00 3 Docks
5:00+ Dock Spam
FH and fight with Siege Boats
FH and Migdol Gold control etc
You can also fake your strat and go for something completely different 11 (type in chat X Has advanced to Classical age through thejafjlajfdf whatever)
And if you lose water you go for quick land transition with gold starve and walling...the are tons of recs where the one who lost water won the game even if he was at a disadvantage after the water battle (which obviously happens in TT as well)
Contrary to popular belief about AoM Medit the one who advances first doesn't necessarily win the water battle or the game

Months or even years of playing AoM around the time TT came out mean nothing nowadays. The difference between you and me is that you speak of what you think AoM water is like and I speak from experience as I played and still play AoM today.
If your opponent advanced before you you're still gonna garrison Fishing Ships inside your Docks when he comes with his Ships around them, even in TT, but while in AoM he will attack the Docks after that, or scout the shores, on AoT your opponent will pull the Ships back...big difference wow the game is so much different now <_<
On AoM, water MUs don't need to be countered, I seriously don't remember the last time someone used water MUs vs me, or even seen it in a rec...the last time I saw it was like 2 years ago when Lorenzo played some games on AoM, and btw he lost with Zeus vs Thor Anatolia making those Scyllas..
I only use water MUs on Watering Hole...but that's a whole other discussion
I don't dislike TT; I play both games but I prefer AoM for balance reasons and because my AoM games are generally much more action-packed than my games on TT...but that doesn't mean I dislike TT

You can raze them (albeit very slowly in both games while in Classical) in TT as well, you just have to micro the Ship the Dock is firing at, as they have 6 Speed (Atty boats are even faster)
You're always claiming that AQ leaves you time to spend on military micro, so there you go

Microing all that would be a problem on AoM, but on AoT you have plenty of time to do it thanks to the AQ function and if you don't believe me then come on ESO and see 11
And the enemy is actively preparing my doom with...his fishing ships garrisoned while mine are actively fishing?lol
You probably didn't see this (I did) because most TT players don't bother microing anything

You can shift-click a few times and you don't need to make that once per second, more like once/6-7 seconds. Again this very easy, I could even do it in AoM if there were shooting Docks around.
AoM Medit is much more micro intensive than the AoT one anyway, even without AQ (and before you start about me hating AoT and AQ and stuff like that you should know that I'm currently #6 on TT ladder, which obviously doesn't mean as much as it did before, but it still shows that I do have an idea what I'm talking about)
Whether this is realistic or not...yeah everyone can try it on their own and see I'm right, and not just think about it like you do.
