Ok, so I thought it would be fun for newbies and pros alike who need to use cheats often for either aid in scenario designing or just using them for fun to be able to have some actual knowledge of how the AoM cheats got their name, and where they came from. Also, when I mention "pro" im reffering to pro players and pro designers. It's the same with noobs.
Age of Mythology Cheats in alphabetical order:
ATM OF EREBUS
This gives you 1000 gold. Noobs would enjoy using it in a competition game, but pros can use it for playtesting scenarios. We know atm means "at the moment", but it is not reffering to this acronym. It also stands for "Asynchronous Transfer Mode", which is something to do with cells. What this is Really stading for is "Automated Teller Machine".
This a computerised telecommunications device that provides the clients of a financial institution with access to financial transactions in a public space without the need for a cashier, human clerk or bank teller. Yes, I did get that from Wikipedia. The cheat gives you 1000 gold, which is kind of like what you get from an atm machine, except it's not free. I'm sure most have you have had familiarization with atms. You may see them on tv nowadays. They're in many stores and shops. Did you guys know there's some in erebus too?
BAWK BAWK BOOM
This is just a plain fun cheat, sometimes used in multiplayer scenarios. This is used to represent the effects of using the chicken meteor godpower, a power you can get from this cheat. The term was used in the story of "Ratty's Ghost", and another forum on the web:http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124561
But, with the exampales shown, was this term Just used generally? The bawk bawk boom factor has shown up in many video games out there. Others say it's just a way of how the meat producers combine chemicals in with there chicken feed to make them bigger. And more say its just a way to get rid of your extra chickens... blow 'em up! But all in all, its just a funny thing to say when on the subject of chickens and chemicals/explosives. AoM made it popular.
CONSIDER THE INTERNET
This term could have been derived from the classic question, "Consider the interrelatedness of everything in the cosmos as it is expressed in many indigenous religions. How do you think the importance of these relationships developed? What spiritual purpose do you think they serve for indigenous people?" Or, on a more common note, it's reffering to the sometimes unpredictable speed of the internet, and thus this cheat makes your units slower. This cheat is almost never used. A fun cheat.
CHANNEL SURFING
Pretty much as is. It's a way to surf through a campaign (like surfing through channels on your tv) without completing certain scenarios. Noobs and pros alike use this cheat but have some different reasons for it.
DIVINE INTERVENTION
This is reffering to the act of the gods coming to our aids by "interevenly divinly." After all, the gods Are divine, aren't they? This cheat restores your used god powers, and is mostly used for playtesting and other purposes like this.
ENGINEERED GRAIN
-is genetically modified grain that farmers who work for major food companies feed to their animals to fatten them. In this case, it is used in AoM to fatten animals and cause them to contain more food. Not a very popular cheat, and not used very often.
FEAR THE FORAGE
Completely an AoM original. This cheat gives you a god power that you can target on berry bushes to turn them into walking berry bushes, similar to the walking trees godpower. It's basically a way of saying "fear the forage... they'll destroy you." This is a rarely used cheat. If anything, used for fun.
GOATUNHEIM
Derived from the norse world named "Jotunheim." Yes, jotunheim may be a random map, but its real identity is that it's one of the nine worlds of norse mythology. From the history of the Fire giant unit: "...Muspellheim was one of the "middle levels" of the Nine Worlds, along with Midgard and Jotunheim." From the history of the Frost giant unit: "They lived in the realm of Jotunheim, one of the Nine Worlds of Norse mythology, along with Muspellheim and Midgard. Jotunheim was the land of giants...". There is a Well like the well of urd that leads to this world as well. From the history of the Well of Urd: "All three wells lead to the realms of Asgard, Jotunheim, and Niflheim, which are located deep in the underworld." This power/cheat has nothing to do with jotunheim. It was just a play on words. You'll never find pros using this cheat, unless they're map-making. It's rarely used as it is.
IN DARKEST NIGHT

I WANT TEH MONKEYS!!!1!
This is basically a noobish way of saying you want alot of monkeys. The "teh" is supposed to be the word "the", and the "1" in the middle of the exclamation points is supposed to be a typo while hitting the "!" button several times. An AoM original. When this cheat is used, YOU GET ALOT OF MONKEYS!!!1! Very noobish.
JUNK FOOD NIGHT
Used to represent the craving and the action of eating junk food at night. A popular term. Use this and you'll get 1000 food. This can be used for playtesting and other similar purposes. Noobs like to use it to cheat, obviously. It's probably a noobs favorite rescource cheat.
LAY OF THE LAND
Another popular idiom. It has been used as a title, and is sometimes used in the regular world. Use this cheat and the map will be revealed for you. However, fog of war will still be on. Used for both playtesting and noobs.

An AoM original. Use this to speed up your game. Used for playtesting and noobs.
L33T SUPA H4X0R
A hackers term. Leetspeak was an alternate language derived from the english language to hide hacker's websites, so they cannot be searched with regular keywords. Yes, there was a whole language invented by hackers substituting english, just because they were hackers. A kind of code you would say. l33t supa h4x0r means "Elite Super Hacker." This code increases the rate of constrution, training, and gathering to almost instant. Used for playtesting and for noobs.
MOUNT OLYMPUS

The starting phrase of the canadian national anthem. Noobish cheat. Use this and you'll get a canadian lazer bear.
PANDORAS BOX

An AoM original. The "tines" are reffering to the tines on the fork that the forkboy holds. You can get him by using this cheat. He's also very powerful. Used by noobs.
TROJAN HORSE FOR SALE
Anybody wanna buy a trojan horse? The trojan horse was used to sneak into troy's base, and is seen in the fall of the trident campaign. The trojan horse was made entirely of wood, which is why this cheat gives you 1000 wood. Used by both pros and noobs.
UNCERTAINTY AND DOUBT

-from "I wuv woo (vewy mush)", another, childish or perhaps dogish way of saying "I love you (very much)." Supposed to be cute. Used in Halo Wars as the name of a skull. Another common saying. Use this cheat and you'll get a flying purple hippo that spits out hearts as its attack. Used by noobs and perhaps by pros because of its speed.
