Hey everyone!
I am working on the AI for the TotD expansion so that it can handle the Chinese culture and if possible fix as many bugs and problems as possible. I've been around here a while and have played a lot vs the AI but I'm not sure if I've found all the problems the AI has. I'm going to list all of the issues I've found so far so if you know of am AI bug or a problem that's not in the list below then please post it so that I can attempt to fix it before the release of the expansion.
AI Issues
- AI doesn't handle water maps well
- AI doesn't seem to migrate on migration maps
- Norse and atlantean AI do not research certain wall upgrades
- AI is terrible at detecting what type of map it is (most of the map detections is done through checking filenames so new maps won't be recognised)
- AI doesn't expand onto other islands
- AI doens't use leviathan and rocs to transport units - hardcoded issue
- AI wall building is terrible - hardcoded issue
- Zeus AI should save Bolt for Nidhogg/SoO (at least on Hard/Titan) - Due to balance changes this is not really viable and bolting the first attacking/defending MU or hero is more useful

- AI does not target the host more often than the other players
- AI does attack on easy when using the conqueror or attacker personality but after a longer time than on standard
- NoAI option added
- AI doesn't seem to use strong mythunits often
Changed the prerequisites of the rule that created mythunit. Now they should be trained more often.
- AI knows about treaty now.
- AI fishes on nomad.
- AI uses the starting ulfsark correctly now
- AI crosses the river on river styx now
We cannot rely on luck to be successful.
