Thoughts of Chinese myth units:
Do you like the variety offered?
Do you like their special attacks/abilities?
If you would change something about a myth unit, what would it be and why? Either the unit itself or its special attack
Just to clarify I'm talking about the ideas and concepts behind the new myth units, and not the art, modelling or animations so much (because I'll be the first to say it, some of them look absolutely dreadful).
From my point of view, I really like the concept and ideas behind the myth units, even though visually they fall short in the water.
My favorites being Quilin, Monkey King, War Salamander and Vermilion Bird.
If I could change anything about them, I'd probably would have preferred to see a black tortoise (one of the four Chinese symbols) instead of the current dragon turtle. It would better compliment the other 3 symbols (white tiger, azure dragon and vermilion bird). I think it'd look pretty cool, with a venomous snake wrapped around it shell that can delivery a toxic bite to naval myth units.
I also feel that the monkey king's special should be single target only, otherwise it makes Oronos' Shockwave redundant.
Terracotta warriors' dust should have obscured enemies vision temporarily and prevented them from attacking, rather than yet another AOE effect.
And finally, white tigers special ability should have been stealth/ prowl (allowing it to become invisible to enemy units).
I would have also like foo dogs too as a possible mu or gp, but pixiu is pretty cool too.
