You will probably need to have atleast a basic 3d graphics card for it to run smoothly.

They'll want it to run on as many PCs as possible and so will keep the requirements as low as possible.
Given that they are running it on the PCs they were using to test AoK, I think most will be safe. Low end PIIs should do the trick.
They had low end PIIIs last time I was there in their testing area.

One of the reason I like AOK so much is because it's one of the only games that doesn't lag at all on my PC. I hope AOM is the same way. wah! I dont wanna get a new grafx accelerator! wah! .........I guess it's probably time to though.

Alexander, you are probably correct for the system requirements, especially if it is released over a year from now (no word on the release date yet).
The video card, I imagine, will have to have 8 or 16 megs of RAM on it, and support Direct3D.
