I'm wondering, is it possible to record a game, and then change the game to AVI format? If so, would the alphers do this please? It will keep us from hunting you down

i dont think they will have the recorded game feature in AoM Alpha...
And even if they did i dont think they will make it where they can be converted into AVI format...since recorded games are just converted into text files ("Directions") and then played out in the game, i think it would make the files REALLY big to convert to AVI format (like 100-500 meg big)

Even if there was a recorded game feature, don't count on me doing this for you. I'm more than happy to provide all of you with war stories, the effectiveness of units, complaints/praises about the interfaces, etc., but AVIs compromise my morals about respecting ES's wishes (no, I'm not just sucking up here).

I dont think theres a very big use for turning int AVI anyways. Because if the person really wanted to know a strat or something, they probably have th egame. I guess it would be useful for making Demos, but if someone did that, as WhoAskedU said, it would be VERY large. Theres not really a MP3 of video (with the exception of DivX, but even that is very big). So unless we can fit it on maybe under 5MEGS, its no use =\.
I think you guys are underestimating the lengths that a fan will go to see the game in action. I bet alot of people here without the alpha would download a 50 mb avi if they had the chance.

I would be willing to make small 30 second clips if ES would allow it but not sure about that.

Sorry, I don't think ES/MS will allow to do so.
Cause they want only good videos of AoM with max. details to be published. If anybody posts bad quality-videos with less details, this could scare away a lot of AoM-fans.
