Sorry for the long post, but I believe I love Possy the most. Especially, after this.
Anyway, I watched a recorded game from that AOS site in which a person named Sa1Ska played Possy. He was fighting Odin. This is what he did:
He took his scout and his first three villagers directly to the enemys base. (I was thinking WTF?, because he just passed a huge herd of deer and a relic)
He sent all 'within site' herdables to his town center pumped out three or four villagers to get food from them.
He also cast the Lure GP next to his TC.
He built two houses directly in the line of fire of his enemy's town center. Then proceeded to build a storage center just outside the TC line of fire right behind the houses near some trees. Those three villagers started to get wood.
At this point I saw no gold or wood increase in his economy.
Then I saw what he was trying to do.
The first house was destroyed and out popped two infranty units, which he used to harrass the surrounding enemy gold miners. He immediately took his forward wood gathers and rebuilt the destroyed house.
During this time, at his home base, he had created many more villagers to gold mine and wood and hunt around the Lure stone.
He used the foward three villagers to build a temple right behind the storage building. At this time the first house was destroyed again giving him two more units to harrass the gold miners.
The enemy managed to make a hero and destroy the second house, which in turn made two more units. Note: I may be somewhat off in the exact turn of events. I am just going by what I think I remember.
He may have made two more houses that were destroyed by TC fire before he hit classical. But I noticed at one time he kept pulling his new units from the buildings back until he made a 5 or 6 infranty attack force.
He hit Classical and immediately made two stables with his 3 forward villagers.
Back at his home TC, he had more villagers pumping out gold, food, and wood.
From here he pretty much made calvery from his stables and raided his villy's with his extra 'infranty' and myth units I believe. The enemy resigned in early classical. He had no chance.
I loved this strat. What do you all think? And please keep in mind I have not played online yet.
I tried it against to computer and made about 8 houses on his front lines but accidently made barracks instead of stables. It worked OK but the computer is nothing against a good human player.
Below is a link to the game. You may have to copy and paste it to your Address bar.
I would love opinions.
Thanks in advance!!
