I have copied some music from a CD onto the computer. Now I want to get it to play at a certain time in a scenario I am making. I have tried copying it into a music folder, then using the 'Music File' trigger, but it never works. What am I doing wrong, or cant you do this at all? The file is in WAV format, if thats any help.

I can't use the editor, but most of the sounds in aom are in mp3 format, maybe you should use that aswell

Peredhil,
When you use the trigger SoundFile Name to browse and select your music file, make sure that you click the Open button to open that file.
Do NOT double-click to open; it won't work. (This is also the same for opening AI files and other files).
P.S.: the music file can be either MP3 or WAV. They both will work.

I'm not 100% sure but i think you can only use mp3 (if you are putting it in a scenario i would make it mp3 for downloading purposes)e.g i had a two minute piece that was 16mb.wav but mp3 was only 1mb, see what i mean about dowload time. I use wavelite by cubase (i use the games tunes and loop them and stuff for my purposes) it lets you convert to mp3 dead easy. I'm sure there is a program to do it, thats free. I tried windows media player, but i could only rip to mp3 off disc, so you could save it to cd then convert back if needed. Audugy's jukebox also does it, only if you have an audigy card that is. good luck

I think it has to be Mp3. I tried using a WAV file on SWGB. It didnt work so I assume its the same on AoM. By the way I would NOT reccomend putting a LONG peice of music in.

Both .wav and .mp3 work. In the fall of trident cpn, the voices are .wav files, so this proves that AoM can handle .wav files. Mp3's are also compatible as we can use them when whe're designing. Note: .wav or .mp3 files that are imported will not work when people are playing your sc and you included them with the file, so you have to seperate them. Example: "I have "In da Club" from 50 cent imported to my AoM folder, and I want it to play when people are playing my work" <-- this will only possible when people have the same .wav or .mp3 file in the same folder.
So, if you plan to put a campaing/scen onto AoMHG d/l section, you must include the music/dialouge file with the actual game file...or is that what Kemsyt said? BTW, instead of using Music Filename, use Sound Filename.
