I, and I'm sure others, have noticed that a lot of forum space is occupied by threads asking questions about the various aspects of Age of Mythology scenario design. So to reduce the space taken up by these question threads in the forum, and to make it a little easier on those who diligently try to answer them all, I started this general question-and-answer thread.

So, post any question regarding triggers, units, mapping, modding... anything related to Age of Mythology, or just life in general, and we, the skilled designers in the AOMH community, will do out best to answer them.

Fire away.

I'm sure you've all noticed by now that the thread has had a quite unexpected level of success, and I see no reason to cut that success short. Keep asking your questions, and we'll keep answering them. I also want to thank all those who've taken it upon themselves to answer any and all questions posted here, namely AoMPlayer000 and oddy, as well as several others. Good work, lads.

the only way is to know how long the tornado would last and have a looping trigger to keep invoking tornado...

yes, there is a tornado object, but i'm not sure if its spc..

in fact, i even made a tornado forest on my terrain modpack, the good thing about this tornado is that it never runs out

EDIT: but this tornado doesnt do any damage

Any way to make "reuseable" godpowers regenerate faster? For instance, I am making a scenario where for every 30 seconds you own this object you are granted spider eggs... well, unfortunately it takes longer than 30 seconds for Spider Eggs to regenerate to be used.

21 seconds and it works perfectly.
You will see my tornados in action during a marine storm.

@Mythos Ruler, I don't think you can, but you can just re-grant them earlier so it looks like they cool down faster.

If the power is not casted by the human player, you could make 2 or 3 AI players to invoke the eggs and let them take turns.

A condition is not a trigger.
An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.
Period.

Nobody has answered my question yet:"How do you change the size of objects in the editor! Ex: Columns. And the answer is not in the FAQ section!PLease tell me how to change the sizes of items!

Do you even have to titans expansion pack? Enlarging units only works in the x-pack.
And by the way, when u said that no one answered your question before. . . i did, but you have to take the inititive to look in the faq.

I finally figured out what sound it is when a boulder falls over and is destroyed. The sound is one of the tumble#.wav s.

Problem is, owning this object grants the GP every 30 seconds it is owned. Regranting the god power does not speed up regeneration, unfortunately...


Unless I kill the god power then regrant. Hety! Thanks for the help.

QUESTION

Is it possible to make villagers mine gold slower, farm farms slower, collect wood slower, etc.? If so, how?

I don't think so, but you can make them carry less with modify protounit effect.
