The theme for the current screenshots is: moonlighten twilight and entries can be submitted till the 26th of November, voting for the two days after that.

What is this?
The Continuous Screenshot Competition is stolen from AoKH, where it has been active and used for a very long time. It is promote screenshots, and also to just have fun looking at and making the scenery. Each time there will be a theme in which the screenshot should fit, the winner of last theme is allowed to pick the new one. If a winner wins for the second time in a row, the number 2 is allowed to pick the theme.

We have the new gallery for designing screenshots, so lets fill it with a bunch of Mona Lisas!

The rules
  • No category may be used twice.
  • You may only enter one screenshot per category.
  • The previous winner can compete in the competition he set the theme for, this is a form of trust, so be honest.
  • Please do not suggest themes for the winner.
  • No altering of screenshots, in any way, for any reason.
  • Modding is allowed.
  • Both AoM and AoM: TT screenshots can be used.
  • You are not allowed to make screenshots from maps created before the competition, but you can use the map for something else after taking the screenshot.
  • No flaming, but constructive comments are allowed.
  • Everyone is allowed to vote one time per competition for one screenshot.
  • The winner of the last round may pick the theme for the new one.
  • If same person wins in twice in a row (or more times), the runner-up may pick the new theme.
  • You cannot vote for your own screenshot.

Time between the competitions
We have one week for the competition followed by 2 days to vote, after that the winner can post the new theme and we can start again.

Nice. I like the humour in it and it is a good idea. Also it has good eyecandy.

Um, is that jumping thing supposed to mean that it's good?
I'm gonna go ahead and assume it means that you liked it.

Call it Life on the Edge

Ok, I'll populate it, there are some toxotes there already, but are they too small to be seen? Just wondering. Anyway, I'll go improve it, and make it have some life, and it's meant to be a village, the lava is threatening to flow in when the rams have broken down the gates, is the idea. Don't know how good it looks, but I'll have a go.

@Freaky2
Nice! How did you put him on a raft exactly? I'm sure there's some obvious explanation.... If you position objects, do they float automatically?

Also, everyone's seems to be a close up view, so is it a bad idea to have such a large landscape? (even if everything has been shrunk to fit).

Nope, it just takes a long time to create the landscape and shrink all the grass and tries and rocks.

Great screenshots everyone. I'll see if I can make something before the deadline.

Here is my entry for the screenshot comp, I might improve it even more if needed... sigh.... but I've also thought of what's happening, the red guys are trying to breach the blue guys' gates, and when they do, they will evacuate and open the floodgate, flooding the blue compound with lava, as there is large volumes of lava behind the floodgates and it will be able to get up to the main blue compound... anyway, you get the picture, and here's my screenshot, don't laugh at it....
Oh, and my title? I've decided to call this Feel the Burn, corny, I know...

Damn, after looking at everyone else's entries so far, I've realized this is an eyecandy competition, and so close ups with lots of detail have the best chance of winning, or things like Paperfriend, not my crummy little village scene, lol... You may now laugh at me. *points and laughs at the loser animageeous for being a noob*.

You should put something about hosting this competition in the "extra signs of greatness" section of your sig/website.

@AGAW: Much better, though it could still do with a little more varied terrain.

@Freaky2: Great screenshot, I really like it.

Also, here is my entry.

I'm not going to tell you! Try to find out yourself, if that doesn't work, ask The Vandhall, or someone else experienced. If that doesn't work, THEN I will tell you.

Nice bananas jml.

Nice job I Love Bananas. I was thinking about doing something like that, but then I changed my mind.

Yeah ILB's is nice, I like how it looks so natural.
I did what you told me to, and put it into cinamatic mode.

Come on guys! More entries, if you need more time, ask for it.

Some people said they would make something and I haven't seen anything yet, also don't worry about the time - I really don't care about a few more hours
