A few months ago on a whim I took a look at my scenario's download page in the download section and saw some people had comment and rated my map even though its a few years old. So, I decided to make a few last minute and final tweaks and fixes to the map and upload it for all to share.
Here it is, the final "Epic" release of Peloponnesian War:

I don't think that the ceasefire really adds much to the gameplay. Unless it did something cool like have a minigame or two and have the winner get some bonus.

I think that it is a good idea but there really shouldn't be ceasefires so frequently. Once I was going to launch a surprise attack on the rear of an enemy city and just as I hit the back of the town the ceasefire started, and he withdrew his troops to defend again, completely ruining my strategy.

LOL... Well, I didn't include the Olympic Games idea in my latest build of the map, so you're safe.
About increasing the cost of techs, there are ways to do this. It would also require quite a few triggers to cover all the available techs. It would also seem quite confusing to most players. A lot of people complain that they are being cheated because they can't build houses. So imagine their ire if they research a tech and suddenly they automatically tribute Gaia a bunch of gold. lol Also, there would be no way to tell people ahead of time precisely how much each tech now costs without modding the tool tips, which would be multiplayer incompatible. Unless there's a new Effect in one of those trigger packs that changes the cost of technologies.

Squishfellow on ESO - I guess i forgot to add it in my sig.
Ceasefires are annoying. I'll say it again. Ceasefires are annoying. Theres a version out with 2 ceasefires so it's almost impossible to wipe out your enemy.
