| A story of a warrior who is at first a tool of warring gods who then stands up to the gods themselves on his road to redemption... |
| I live with no regrets, nor shall I die with them. Amongst the corpses of my fallen allies I rest on my knees, with no less than three arrows pierced through my chest. I feel no pain, instead, I feel life being sucked out of my body like juice is squished from a lemon. As I prepare for the meeting with Hades my life flashes by... The Last Grasps of Air by Baske | | To my amazement, Winged maidens with giant horses, Flashing lights drained the sun and Thunders flashed all around then. The First of the five put me on her horse, And their leader went to her Giant wolf mount before we charged into the unknown. Escort to Heaven by Eyecandy of doom | | After riding for some time we arrived at a large walled city, which I had not seen before. 'Welcome to Valhalla' said the first maiden. 'We believe that the Jotuns wish to attack us soon, and Odin has chosen you to help us fight against them.' 'The who? And who is Odin? And what is Valhalla?' I asked. 'Let us take you to see Odin, he will be able to explain better than us.' Valhalla? by Darkmonarch | | The Valkyries took me to Odin's Palace. We had to cross the bridge of destiny, and they advised me to keep going and not to look down. At the bottom were deep pools of boiling memory. I was warned that if I looked they would drive me to jump off the bridge and take the long fall to Earth. As we crossed a blue light flared in front of me and elite Greek war men appeared. We never stood a chance against them, but we had no idea what they wanted, or what they were doing. The Bridge Of Destiny by Yeebaagooon | | The warriors charged at us, but it quickly became apparent that I was not their goal. The Valkyries fought against them, many receiving fatal wounds. The leader of the warriors grabbed hold of the youngest and most beautiful of the Valkyries and together they all departed. Kidnap on the Bridge by Banoffee | | "Are we going to go after her" "No" the valkyrie replied remorsefully. "We are here to take to you Odin ourselves, nothing else is more important." Why didn't they take me, if I am so important?" "The Jotun don't know of you....yet. They are capturing Odin's valkyries so that Odin will not be able to have the souls of fallen warriors taken to him anymore. Soon the Jotun will claim all great warriors for his own, then the final battle will begin." "What does Odin want of me?" "That you must find out for yourself. We are here. Take the bridge through the mountain pass. We cannot follow" Most Important Meeting by Elrich | | "As I reached the top of the seemingly endless stairs a booming voice called out to me... There stood Odin, a full meter tall... The 'Great' Odin by Baske | | "Odin told me told me to go to sleep and that he will explain everything the next day. I had a strange dream or perhaps even a vision that night. I saw that the heaven was on fire and thousands of giants and trolls walked into Midgard! How was that possible? The gods magically locked Jotunheim off long ago. And perhaps the most scary of all, a giant wolf: Fenrir. He has escaped. The next day Odin explained everything to me and told me that the Greek soldiers That captured the valkyrie were allies with the giant by some strange reason. He said that ragnarok was near. many questions were answered by Odin and many weren't. But the biggest question still remains: why is Odin only 1 meter tall..." Giant Invasion by maffiabas | | "With the giants all over Midgard, let me show you Jotunheim." Odin said, and the next thing I knew I found myself standing on a cliff, overlooking a fortified city of sorts. "This is where Loki hides himself amongst the giants." I looked to the distance, where torches burned in front of an altar, and my eyes went wide with shock. "Don't worry, they won't be able to see us here." said Odin. Unable to speak, I motioned down, to let him see I was not exactly worried about the giants. There walked the kidnapped Valkyrie, surrounded by the Greek soldiers who had taken her. And they were heading straight for the city. Jotunheim by Wahad | | "We have to help her!" I said, running forward. "No-wait!" Odin yelled, but it was too late. I broke through the invisible surface dividing us from the real world. Odin disappeared, and there was a brilliant flash that sent me flying into the air. I landed smack in the middle of the Greek soldiers, knocking down a few of them. As I regained my senses I looked up to see the result of my rash action.. The Consequence of Impulse by Lazy Warhero | | "I was surrounded, and the kidnapped valkyrie was swept away toward the alter, where I did not want to think what awaited her. I saw one of the giants begin to raise his club to crush me. I had accepted the fact that I was going to die, again, when I heard the pounding of hooves. An army of valkyries charged across the tundra toward us. This was my chance to make a break for the alter... " A Window of Opportunity by Darkmonarch | | "I would have to be quick to get to the altar before the fight was over... or the Valkyrie met her end. However, I hadn't noticed a shadowy figure..." Run for the Altar by Son_Of_The_King | | Do not follow Odin, it is a trick to use you to power his new creation. Kronos let me save you once, you should repay him and he will let you travel in time. But you will have to be careful not to upset what has gone before... A strange Paradox by Yeebaagooon | | Kronos... Finally a name I could recognise. The Greek titan king who was over thrown by Zeus. Also known as the old man of time. Perhaps offering him praise is not quite the rabble of a fool as I had first thought. I am tiring of my between life and death status. The Old Man of Time by Banoffee | | Just then Kronos teleported us into a strange field. In front of us stood a stone structure. The titan told me I must travel to the past and defeat the source of all this chaos. My greatest moment has come. The fields of time by Firefax | | I walked into the portal and in a flash of light, I appeared in a big forest. I don't know why, but I felt stronger than I did ever before. Anyway, I was in the middle of nowhere, and definitely not in the right place. Perhaps someone sabotaged the portal, perhaps Kronos is the enemy, perhaps the enemy is here after all. I decided to look around, but then two giant monsters appeared (we know them as tyrannosaurus' but in that age they didn't know those creatures) and they looked hungry. Wrong place, wrong time... Wrong place, wrong time by maffiabas | | I never stood a chance against these great creatures. They swallowed me whole and I found myself in the belly of the beast. However, something strange caught my eye... In the belly of the beast by Yeebaagooon | | "The moment I saw the light, I realized it were flames. The animal squealed so loudly that I could see blood vessels pop. The animal had been penetrated by a ballista arrow, and was its life juices were being drained from its body.
So was I, thank God. Had I stayed only a little longer the acids would have started consuming me, and I would have died a very unpleasant death. I was happy with the one I got, gloriously fallen amidst the bodies of my fallen friends. Who all fought for the same purpose, defend our homelands from the heathens. Wu....Wait a minute! The god I'm facing now, is Kronos. The god those heathens honored was also named Kronos!
Perhaps Zeus has given me one final task before I may ascend to heavenly lights." A final task? by Baske | | "I walked deeper into the forest, trying to figure out what it was I had to do. I heard a rustling noise in the bushes, but I told myself it was an animal and moved on. Farther on, in a clearing, I saw a young woman with a bow, hunting a stag. I was about to great her casually, when I realized she emitted a slight glow. I realized who she was. This was Artemis, virgin goddess of the hunt, and protector of young girls. Perhaps she or her brother could help me in my quest..." Artemis by Darkmonarch | | I was bound and gagged by a bunch of female archers, all part of Athena's group. Then I was led through the forest on a series of winding pathways to the camp of Athena. There stood a gigantic complex of tents, seemingly impossible for any mortal to build, which is why they are Athena's. I was chained to a rock, and when I asked why all I received were threats and commands to shut up. It seemed to be that everyone there, animals included, were on edge, seemingly waiting for someone to show up, or something important to happen. Then just outside of my range of sight came a deafening noise; the noise of..... In Athena's Camp by Azur_Fire | | I was soon released and told to go to the center of The camp. There I started speaking to Shana'adris, The Group leader. she said the army was assembled to battle Kronos. And that I had to either join it, or die. The camp by Eyecandy of Doom | | "Join it.....or die....." - her words disturbed me. Not because they were a threat, but because they weren't a threat.. How could I die if I was already dead? I felt like I was being fooled as if in a dream. Then suddenly thoughts that were once distant voices suddenly sharpened and grew louder. One wispy voice stood out amongst the others: "Pirithous..." it called. "Pirithous.. Yes! That's it!" A sudden revelation overcame me, like a fish that leaped out of water for the first time in its life and realized that it was IN something called water all along. "Pirithous.." I spoke to myself..."That's my name.." "Odin!" I looked around to see myself at the edge of the hill just as I was before I foolishly jumped to save the Valkyrie. "I thought I had lost you.. and you ignored my help to bring you back." "You tried to help?" "Remember the Valkyries that saved you at the altar? Or the mysterious light after you were devoured by that beast? Then I thought that Artemis could finally reach you but those brutish soldiers of Athena's grabbed you away. It wasn't until you remembered who you were that you came back from the vision. Kronos would have had you eaten or killed in battle if I hadn't intervened." "so none of that was real?" "Oh it was very real. Kronos now knows you from battling his people in your previous life to battling him here in the afterlife. Expect him to send all of his fallen warriors that you defeated in life after you now. I'm sure they would like to meet you again..." The Revelation by Elrich | | Kronos wanted revenge. His plan had been foiled. 'Go fourth my minion, at least I still have you. Odin must die for my plan to succeed. Go through the temporal gate, and ruin that party now!' I talked to Odin about what I had seen, but he seemed far away as if dreaming. I saw a glint in the corner of his eye. He had noticed something... Foiled by Yeebaagooon | | Yet, it turned out to be a trick of the light. Laughing at Kronos' minions pitiful struggle to pass through the gate, Odin took me back to Valhalla. Once back in Valhalla, Odin equipped me with new armor and summoned his Maidens for battle. It was unlikely that the temporal gate would hold of Kronos too long. It seemed Odin was to die, and I was to re-die, as Kronos' forces entered the northern gate to Valhalla...Unless fate tipped in just the right way... Preparing for Battle by Alyssea | | "The temporal gate did not hold Kronos. In fact, it helped him to get through. He didn't bother to send through his forces first, he went in himself. The look in his eyes, the sound coming from his mouth, and way he moved, the way the rocks got crushed wherever he smashed his hands, I was frightened for the very first time. I was chosen by Zeus to fight off this heathen god, He hasn't done that for no reason. I stand here, I stand ready, and I will stand my ground." The beast approaches by Baske | | The roar of Kronos drilled fear into my heart. I ran in a blind panic along with Odin, but we ran in opposite directions. Odin was holding something but I could not see what it was. Kronos stepped out of the well and advanced upon us.
The roar of Kronos by Yeebaagooon. | | "Look!" Odin said. He was carrying a paper with a very bad writing on it. "What does it say?" I asked. Odin told me that it was a note from Kronos. Some of his servants managed to steal Gungir, Odin's spear. "So what? We can still finish off this guy can't we?" "No, we surely can't, he's to powerful," Odin responded, "the only way to defeat Kronos is by either Gungir or Mjolnir, Thor's hammer." "Then we will find either Gungir of Mjolnir!" I said. "Let's do that, I can keep Kronos away from Valhalla for a while, but make haste!"" Gungir by TBK145 | | "Thor's been fighting giants in Niflheim, so I think our best chance will be for you to attack the Jotun camp while I keep Kronos busy here, and hope that's where he is holding my spear, Gungir," said Odin, "Good luck, Pirithous." With that, he loaned me his valiant steed and as many soldiers and Valkyries as he could spare, and we rode off in search of Gungir. I hoped he would be able to hold his ground against Kronos until we returned. Riding for Gungir by HailtotheOboe | | We traveled most of that day. Soon we came across a huge pool of dirty water surrounded by runes in the end of a canyon. "This is a well of Urd" said one of the Valkyries. "It will allow us a passage into the underworld." Then it occurred to me. "Could Gungir be in the underworld?" I said. "It is likely" replied the Valkyrie. "It is Kronos' home. So, it appeared that we were in for a trip to the underworld...
A trip to the Underworld by Alyssea | | After jumping through the Well of Urd, I realised that it might have simply been an easier idea just to not wake up the morning before my death. Now that I am in the underworld, I realise that our forced march was to no avail, the Enemy had arrived first, and taken Gungir. However, we had more immediate problems. First and foremost, we had Cerebus, that crazy dog thing, and... Wa? Me? Epic Fail by Hygraffo | | "It may have just been a hallucination, but this is Niflheim, we battled the giant dog with no fear, the numbers were dwindling and just when we thought we were done for, Thor appeared and lashed out at it. Within a few seconds, that single blow made Cerberus explode, one of it's charred, broken jaws landed right in front of us. There stood Thor, it seems he has finished fighting the giants. That was easy by Firefax | | When Cerberus was dead, I asked Thor:" How did you get here?" "I don't know. I was just walking around when a black hole appeared and pushed me into it." "Looks like that Kronos played too much with the Time!" Suddenly, a black hole appeared and pushed us into it. Then we saw them: The Titans and Kronos, heading to Mount Olympus. It looked like that the black hole had ported us to the old time, when Zeus banned the Titans into Tartarus. Titan attack by Gamerrici | | And suddenly everything around me disappeared. I heard a voice yell with anger, and then someone else asked me if I was awake. The second voice was ancient and deep, and I thought I recognized it from somewhere else. And then I remembered. The night before my death I had a dream. It was not an ordinary dream. It seemed...real somehow. Not real as in more colorful, or more detailed, just...it's hard to describe. I know how I'll put it - imagine that an author wrote a book about a waterfall. The most wonderful author in the world. He described it as best as humanly possible, so well you knew every aspect of it. And then the next day you went to see the waterfall in person. It was the same waterfall you knew after you read the book, but you now knew it in a different way. Two weeks later the waterfall is just a memory to you. But the memory of when you saw the waterfall is just more...complete. That is how my dream felt compared to an ordinary dream. I did not see anything in my dream. Well, that's not entirely true. I saw something, but its appearance cannot be described in any mortal tongue. And then the thing spoke to me. But it did not speak to me in words, it spoke to my being. "Pirithous," it said, although it didn't say my name, it said the name of my being, "it is time for you to start anew. Tomorrow your spirit will be released. Many will seek you, but only the one that calls you by name is your true master." That voice was the voice I was hearing now. The voice now called not my name, but my being, and I knew I was his. And it was no shock when I opened my eyes and gazed upon the face of my master...Kronos. "Ah, you're awake," he said, "I have dealt with Thor. Gungir is safe. As you know, it is not I, but them who are evil. Allow me to explain." "I know I have done wrong in slaying my children and locking them up. But I did not do this out of evil or hatred. I was afraid. I was afraid of Death, the sweet maiden whom my lips shall never touch, nor my eyes ever gaze upon." He then sighed before continuing his tale, and I saw that he regretted something. What exactly he regretted I may never know, for some knowledge is for the gods only. "Yet my son imprisoned me and my kin here for eternity. How I have suffered here, at the hands of my own flesh and blood! And he was not any kinder to mortals than I. I had fed the mortals, whatever he lies he might say to contradict me, and I had watched them be at peace with one another and with the earth. I told my brother Helios to watch over them, so that they might have light and some warmth. I did not scold Prometheus for any actions he took with those mortals, while Zeus punished him for eternity for simply giving them the gift of fire!" "And now the Titanomatchy shall begin anew. The Olympians themselves have turned on each other, and in their weakness I and my brothers are able to escape our prisons. You, Pirithous, shall lead the Ancient Children of the Earth (I knew he was referring not to wild animals, but to the nymphs, the satyrs, and others) in battle against the usurpers of our powers. I have warned the Norse and Egyptian gods many times to either join us or remain neutral. Few have opposed us, although that Odin is proving to be a nuisance. Now go up to the realm Above, and ready your Soldiers for war." And then I realized that the black hole that I had seen earlier was not a portal to the past, but to the future. The assault on Mount Olympus is Yet to Come, and I will make sure that it is successful. Kronos' Story by TartarianCerberus | | I watched as legions upon legions of men arrived, pledged their undying loyalty to Kronos, and then were sent off into the camp to be armed. These people ranged from young to old, fat to skinny, ugly to beautiful. Kronos favored none but me. I could see movement near the top of mount Olympus, but can only guess at what the Gods are readying. The Camp at Olympus by Azur_fire | | With Mount Olympus hovering in the background, I planned my battle strategy. Just then a formidable looking archer approached me. Kronos had told me that he would send someone very important to me on this day. The archer bowed then spoke: "Greeting, Pirithous, I am Aldeyus, master archer and a personal warrior of Kronos himself." "Yes, Kronos told me you would come, and to pay close heed to what you will say." "Kronos fears for your soul" he began. "You mean for my life" I replied. "No..." he said heavily and the tone of the conversation change from polite to grave. "No, I mean your soul. Odin has at his disposal ghastly shades that will fill any mortal man's heart with dread, but the shades have their own shade lord named Strayk the Soulstealer. If you succumb to his awful power, you will become just another one of his shade followers - damned for all eternity. Believe me when I say this: it is much better to die in battle and your soul released to heaven than to be tormented in anguish until the end of time. I have been given special powers with my bow to hold off the shades, though nothing can stop Strayk himself..." I took a moment to consider this. The permanence of an eternity of suffering filled me with dread and I answered "Then swear to me that you will do anything to save my soul." "I swear it." answered Aldeyus The Soulstealer by Elrich | | "As I walked through the forest to get a bit of peace and quiet I stumbled upon something. It had no direct significance to the upcoming battle, yet it mattered to me. It was an old broken column. Disposed there because it probably served no purpose anymore. It reminded me of home. It reminded of me of the gentle breeze when I stepped out of the house. It reminded me of the gentle smile on the face of my wife and innocent look on my son's face when he destroyed something again. It reminded me of home. This column filled my heart with hope, and a goal. I was not going to lose this battle, or I would die trying to fend them off. As I wanted to turn around and walk away I kneeled down, kissed the top of my fingers and gently touched the side of the column, as if it were the cheek of my wife..." Remembrance by Baske | | Before I could mourn anymore, one of the soldiers from the camp shook me awake. "Pirithous sir. Our forces are ready. The battalions will be ready whenever you are." "Thank you," I replied. As I walked back towards the camp, Aldeyus was waiting for me, along with the followers of Kronos. I stood on top of a small mound. The soldiers cheered. "Brethren! Today, is the day that we march towards the dominion of the Greek Gods! Whatever is occurring at the top of Mount Olympus, we can only hope for the best. May Kronos be with you all."
The Calm Before the Storm by Legendbladex | | "There it was, Mount Olympus. After all we've reached it, the source of all evil. Just before we wanted to ascend the mountain, Kronos spoke to us: "Pirithous! This is going to be a hard battle, but we all have faith in you! And to achieve your goal, I of course shall support you! Receive this blessing and go kick some godly ass!"
My soldiers cried bloodlustly." The Blessing of Kronos by TBK145 | | The army had assembled an prepared to advance. Then, Adelyeus cried, "More armies! One to the east and west! Lo' and behold!" Everyone looked, and sure enough, not only was the army of Olympus assembled in front of us, two more armies where assembled to the east and west. It was hard to be sure, but it seemed that the west army was Odin's army, loaded with Valkyries, and the east one was Athena's party. Somehow, I felt that my betrayal of them would not go well with them. Then, my heart froze. In front of me, was Strayk. Then, I saw something which would have killed me by shock had I not seen it before, in a hallucination. From in front of Zeus's army, was me. His finger pointed at me with the air of destiny itself, and said three words to me, "You, are, doomed." With those words, I cried, "Death!!!" and charged into battle, adrenaline in my blood, anger in my heart, and a cloud in my brain. The Battle of Four Armies by Hygraffo | | I charged at Strayk, spear risen, when suddenly, in a flash of white light I was alone. Strayk was standing in front of me. We were alone. I couldn't hear anything. It was deathly silence. We stood there facing each other for a while, not wanting to make the first move. Soon, I was angry. "Why are you after me. Why aren't you sucking my soul out right now?" Stray just hovered there. After a while he spoke.... A silent face off by Alyssea | | "I am....Thor..." "What happened to you?" "I told Odin that Zeus was the Enemy. He didn't trust me, and for that he died...As my hammer, Mjolnir is destroyed, I can only give you this...Odin's spear...take it...avenge me and Odin..."
Thor's gift by Gamerrici | | "Thor...I can't believe it! I knew you couldn't be evil!" I said as I walked up to Thor to embrace him, but suddenly, he collapsed to the ground, dead. I gasped. Before me stood Hades, the lord of the dead. Hades, who had assumed the form of an anubite, roared and began to claw open my chest. I felt my entire being shudder as the King of the Underworld squeezed my heart, filling it with an ancient evil too horrible to describe. I recalled Aldeyus' promise. Where was my friend now? Untitled by Tartarian Cerberus ** the caption has been abridged | | "Well, there he was. Just before Hades cut open my chest, He suddenly fell in front of me. It was Aldeyus." Just in time by TBK145 | | Hades defeated, I was instantaneously transported back to the battlefield along with Aldeyus. A scene of terrible carnage appeared before me eyes, fighting as far as the eye could see. However, it seemed that my side was winning; slowly but surely pushing back those few, those loyal few, who still defended Zeus and his siblings. I was still on the alert for Strayk, knowing that the Strayk Aldeyus defeated was only an incarnation of Hades, and so the real Strayk was still out there. With this in mind I kept by Aldeyus and watched the battle from the hill we had appeared upon. The War on Olympus by Azur_fire | | "We were in. Mount Olympus. It was everything the rumours said it was. Aldeyus had gone off on a perimeter check, and I was left to face zeus alone. Maybe that's the way it should be...The final battle alone. Zeus was gigantic. Sitting in a throne of the gods. How was I supposed to kill him?
A throne for the gods by Alyssea | | Zeus laughed when he saw that Kronos had sent a mortal to slay him. And he was right to scorn me. How could I, alone, defeat a god? I am only human. Zeus raised his hand to smite me, and I braced myself for the strike. But the strike never came. Zeus withdrew his hand, roaring in pain from Aldeyus' arrow. Once again, my friend had suddenly appeared when I was about to die and saved my life. Is he truly what he seems to be? Aldeyus shot Zeus again, this time in his heart. Zeus clutched his chest in agony. Aldeyus again shot an arrow, this time drawing ichor, the blood of the gods. Zeus was no more. We were victorious. ** the caption has been abridged | | Before we could celebrate Zeus' death, a terrible dread filled our hearts. All around us shades were rising up from the depths of the Earth in every direction. Aldeyus reached for an enchanted arrow, but there were too many to fight off. Then right in front of us, the Shade Lord himself rose with his horrible face staring coldly. It was a hopeless scene. Perhaps Aldeyus could clear an escape path through the shades but then Strayk would never let us go. Then something curious happened. Strayk came for Zeus' powerful soul, stealing it from its previous host to join his rank like some sort of twisted valkyrie that took souls to damnation instead of the halls of Valhalla. At the very moment he began wrenching the soul from the body, if only for an instant, his face turned human, vulnerable...perhaps even mortal....I realized that no living person had ever seen Strayk attack and lived to tell the tale. This gave me an idea. Strayk unleashed by Elrich | | "What I asked of Aldeyus just now is more than any friend should ask of another, but we both realized that with Strayk out of control and in command of Zeus' soul, that something must be done before he wreaks his will upon the world. I stood in front of Strayk in battle stance with my spear held menacingly, but pointlessly outward. Aldeyus flanked the Shade Lord from the top of a hill behind and awaited my signal.
Aldeyus: He told me three. Three arrows fired together - for the wife, son and husband that would soon be together in heaven, Pirithous' family. He had told me how they were taken from him and how, through battle, he had paid for his sins and was finally ready to join them. I now looked down the shafts of three arrows stretched tight in my bow aimed at Strayk's back, through whose ghostly body I could see my friend Pirithous.
Strayk moved to attack Pirithous who did not flinch at this horror, but stood firm. The ghastly creature reached for its prize and at that moment Pirithous smiled and closed his eyes. It was the signal Aldeyus was waiting for. He released the tight bowstring and sent the deadly triple shot towards the demon.....and his friend. The arrows passed through the vorpal mist of the shade and straight into Pirithous. The shade had underestimated the cunning of a single mortal man. Strayk's soul had left its body and entered Pirithous' body to steal his soul and at that precise moment the arrows struck, killing swiftly and releasing the soul, or souls within never again to return to their bodies." The Ultimate Sacrifice by Baske | | Strayk's soul was immediately claimed by Hades himself. Apparently the power to steal souls was unknowingly taken from the Lord of the Underworld and now it was time for Strayk to pay for his theft. The imprisoned souls of the Shade Lord's army, now unbound, peeled their horrific ghostly skins to reveal their shimmering light inside. Aldeyus was overwhelmed by emotion. His sadness for his friend was transformed to pure happiness by the light and energy of all the freed souls around him as they floated, lighter than air, into the sky. The last soul to remain was Pirithous'. Aldeyus stood before the body of his friend lying on the ground with the three arrows from his own quiver jutting upwards from his chest. He looked peaceful with his eyes closed and a bit of a smile still on his face. Just when sad thoughts began to enter Aldeyus' heart, he had an urge to turn around. Behind him was a shimmering, shining Pirithous mounted on the back of a most familiar valkyrie's horse. The two friends stared at each other for a moment. And in that moment, all the understanding and thanks that friends have in a lifetime passed between them, then Pirithous spoke one last time to Aldeyus: "Remember our story. Pass it down to the next generation so that when your time comes to see me again, it will live on well beyond our years." "I swear it." answered Aldeyus with a slight smile. And with those words, Pirithous' ascended into the sky and into history....
