My main beef with the thing (amazingly powerful though it is) is that tools usually don't close properly. I'm trying to paint terrain, but for some reason, it's still smoothing. I'm trying to select units, but can't since the "past unit" tool is still semi-active.
I hate how you sometimes get random crashes in the editor because you move into an impassable area. I almost lost a weeks worth of (nonstop) work once because I enclosed an area off with cinematic blocks, then saw what would happen if I move a unit into it.
It also annoys me slightly that ES clearly had an unlockable feature to turn the terrain height limit off for their campaign, but hard-coded it out of the editor they shipped. Why? Did they think we were too stupid to not know how to fix things when they got way too high/low?
My last bone to pick (and probably the most prominent) with the program is that you can't place certain units in certain areas, but you can place them elsewhere, then drag them onto those areas. We get that you can't normally place an archery range on cliffs, but we're moving it there any way, so there should be a way to turn the limit off. This type of thing gets extremely frustrating when you're working with hundreds upon hundreds of tiny embellishments on normally-unbuildable terrain.
What pisses you off about the Editor?
