To be honest, I know next-to-nothing about the AoM editor... except that it is supposedly to be a huge step above and beyond the solid AoK editor. So, I pose the question:
What aspect of the AoM editor are you most looking forward to?
I'll do some research into the AoM editor, and I'll give you my answer tomorrow. In the meantime, what are you excited about in regards to the editor?

Somehow I don't think ES wants you editing game data files though.
BTW one cool feature of the editor would be to change unit attacks, cost, and stats. Imagine a Hersir grown 100% taller that is able to shoot lightning that turns enemy units into pigs. Or Valkyries who freeze enemy units around them. Or a King Mountain Giant whose special attack recharges slowly but consists of a minor earthquake.

I was hoping that there would be a condition where you can type something and an effect will fire, like in EE.
OT: Imagine the future... We will be thinking about these days, when AOM was close to coming out, all anxious. And then in the future, we won't have the evil anymore. We will be happily on our chairs designing for what will probaly be one of the most awesome games this earth has yet to see.

Do you mean by that that there is no need to hope and ask for better and more features for AoM, because it will already be awesome? If so, thats true. i don't know, I just want it to be perfect. But would't type and fire effects be great?
Imagine, you type "Gods of Mount Olympus! Strike down the wicked!" and suddenly Zeus sends thunder bolts down on enemy units. Or if you want an open-end type scn, and you have to make a choice.
Imagine the posibilities. but then again, you gotta always leave something for the expansion pak.
