There, just unzip the stuff anywhere. You don't need any files to be in C:\ or anything like that. Just extract all the files somewhere and open up the exe. I've tested it and it seems to work. It also contains an anim editing guide for those who want to learn how, its lots of fun.

    Actually, for that you would download the object editor, and change the projectileprotounit of the toxotes to fireball or something along those lines.

    This prog. lets you attach things to units, like big giant clubs to little tiny dwarves.

    Tutorial:

    This tutorial will show you how to make dwarves chop down trees with giant golden swords!

    1. The first step is to extract anim.bar if you haven't already. It is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\anim\anim.bar

    If you don't have a bar extractor already, you can get one here.

    2. After that, open up Cheesy Anim Editor.
    Then click on Choose Anim File in the top left corner. Navigate to where you extracted to (probably C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\anim\) and open up dwarf_anim.txt.

    3. Step 3 is to go find the place where the dwarf's axe is defined and turn it into a sword. So, look in the box in the middle left of the screen for define axe. When you find it, double click it or click on it and hit edit.

    4. Next, look for where it says Visual Attachments A Axe Hatchet. Erase this, then put your cursor at the beginning of the empty line where it used to be. Then in the second dropdown in the bottom left (Attachments, Tools, Weaps), look for Visual Attachments E Guardian Sword.

    Lets look at this for a second. First of all, every model starts with Visual. The ES modelers were probably just anal like that . Attachments are usually things you attach to people's hands, feet, and other things like that. For example, swords.

    The E stands for Egyptian. There are also G and N (pop quiz: guess what they stand for).

    Guardian Sword represents the sword that the guardian in the egyptian part of the campaign used.

    Once you find it and select it, hit go and it will insert where you had your cursor.

    Do the same for Visual Attachments A Axe Wood and Visual Attachments A Axe DoubleBit

    4. Hit transfer data up to put this chunk back into the whole file (you have to do this before saving). Then hit the save button in the top right. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE IT IN C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\anim, or wherever you installed AOM too. Otherwise it wil have no effect on the game.

    5. Open up AOM and start the game as thor. Then tell your dwarf to chop some wood and watch what happens


    6. If you grow tired of your dwarf of death, you uninstall simply by deleting the text file you save. Just make sure you never delete anim.bar. The txt files in the directory simply overwrite what is inside it.

    yeaaaaaaaaaaa lol and if you want it even better you put that sword in every thing he does (harvest attack animals etc) it fu7nney watching a dwarf chop up a pig with a huge sword

    I tried editing some units, but when I put the .anim files in the anim folder, nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

    tyhe thing wont fit on my screen. I get most of it but the last two scrolls are out of my screen. wHat am I to do?

    I cannot find certain items like Egyptian and Norse shields. Whenever I try to attach these manually(without anim editor), nothing is displayed in the hands of my unit. Could you explain?

    dutch: So you want an ulfsark with a slinger head and a spear and merc shield? I think thats possible :S Everything except maybe slinger head, not sure.

    You should really start using higher res, but here: http://www.lonelyknights.com//uploads/25/Cheesy Anim Editor 800x600.exe Put it in the same folder as the other one, but use the new EXE
