About the frost giant skeleton... he wouldn't have actual bones. He's made of ice. What I'm trying to do is make it look like he's body has frozen the ground under him, for a short time. Like his footprints. The reason the second one is back is so that it fades away, to nothing, in half the time that the other corpses do. After all, he'd only freeze the ground for a short time.

I was just wondering, is it possible to make it so that the skeleton textures dont fade away, so that after a while, and a lot of battles, the map is littered with the bones of the units that have died?

I can test them, but the whole problem that I'm trying to solve is you can't attach them to the units for which they are meant. There's something missing that makes them not work like the others.
