I have just found something amazing. I'll start by telling you this, something always puzzled me, Fire Giants had a "Light" action, and I couldn't tell what it was. It never seemed to do anything, they're always dark when it's dark (the fire is immune to lighting though).
So, as I was looking at a list of protoactions in emejr (or something like that)'s list, I came accross light. I remembered the fire giant, and nonetheless, attempted to test it on a wadjet (only on them, because I tested walkattack previously since they have the animation for it). I did though, put something that wasn't on fire giant, simply out of habit I put persistent. So do you know what happened. This did:
I took that screenshot there in a pitch black lighting (well, it had a tiny bit of light, but not like that). You can easily see the effects. The light flickers a bit like a torch would, and just looks amazing, especially if you'd use it properly. I don't believe, but have yet to test range and such as properties. But this could create amazing dynamic lighting.
But the light does extend to the edge of the map dimly, but use it for caves and such on torches for a great effect
New update on it: Maximum range limits the map-wide effect.
