Ok, that antivirus one I said a computer got is probably the nastiest one out there. Once it gets in, you cant just hit cancel, it embeds itself in the system whether you like it or not. It is quite nasty. Kept making alerts and windows popup, and was controlling the computer, it started opening internet browsers to porn sites. Not kidding.
Anyway, xzy, so would those settings on mozilla completely block these trojan attacks that we are talking about? Like it wont let them happen?
edit: I also found that turning off javascript/java stopped the page ads, and the viruses from hitting the computer
edit: I also do not have any real antivirus programs or things that block stuff like that, because the ones like, norton, and mcaffee cost money, so I cant get them. So is there a good free download for a real virus/spyware/trojan/ protection/blocker that would work?
On my laptop a while ago, when I got a trojan called green antivirus, windows defender stopped it and said it was a trojan attacking. So how much help is windows defender and the programs that instantly come with windows 7/vista (what i have) against these attacks?
