Well in this scenario will have a fight between Uranus and Zeus, each has all the technologies of the lesser gods (as if they Gaia, Cronus and Uranus at the same time, same for the older Greek gods), pictures in the file are included. |

Whoa, at 15.7 megabytes, this single-player scenario file is quite big...turns out that there are large screenshots in the file that doesn't resemble anything in the scenario file itself, save for the Acropolis type map...Oh well. Let's get down to business!
Playability: 3
Both the Atlantean and the Greek Acropolises are already well developed and start with 50000 of each resources plus maximum favor and population limit, so i guess this is an all-out total war type of scenario. Everything went smoothly during play, but sometimes my enemy would have his villagers gather resources far from their base completely unguarded and my army slaughtered them all without a hitch. The music also doesn't play automatically unless i attack a town center or a fortress using several units. Me and my enemy starts with Arkantos (normal), Kastor (Adult), and either walking Kronny (Atlantean) or General Melagius (Greek), plus a few of each factions' unique villagers.
Balance: 3
While both sides are perfectly balanced at first (save for having all the minor god techs at the start), everything becomes much easier when i destroyed the other player's wonder (SPC type) which is lying outside the Acropolis only defended by the city's wall towers that might be out of reach, turning my Arkantos into his God form. I don't know why, could you provide a detailed explanation for that? I guess the same thing would happen if the enemy destroys my also-unguarded wonder and his Arkantos would turn God-mode, making the game much harder for me. (unless i also destroy his wonder at the same time)
Creativity: 2
Just another supremacy map...but wait! You start with all of the minor gods' technologies, including the unselectable ones, researched right at the beginnig (with a small delay time). The huge starting resources means that you almost don't need to gather any more resources unless in an emergency and the max population limit means that you don't need to build any houses. Pretty good, but other than that, it's just another supremacy map...
Map Design: 4
The map is basically like the Acropolis RM type but with a few minor differences: There is a small pond in the middle of the map that contains numerous seaweed and sharks plus four schools of Mahi-mahi. I really love how the towers of each city are overlapping with the wall connectors to make it seem like they're part of the walls that protect each acropolis. There are no neutral settlements though but I don't think that's necessary since each city already has three town centers, which would greatly help the Atlantean acropolis gain favor faster.
Story/Instructions: 1
Just because this is a supremacy map doesn't mean that this scenario doesn't need any sort of story or instructions at all. Without the summary here in the file description, I don't know why were the wonders were lying outside the acropolises and what happens next after i destroy them or how i get to have every technology from all of the minor gods of my civilization researched in the beginning. Both players were called "Jugador 1" and "Jugador 2" respectively. (Jugador means Player in Spanish) Giving them different names would be much better.
Additional Comments:
For your first scenario uploaded here, it sure is pretty good, but it could be better! Keep up the good work! :D
P. S. Please don't put in screenshots that are too large, especially if it doesn't resemble anything in the scenario file itself next time, okay? It bogs down the internet speed! Although I do have to admit that some of the screenshots has some nice eyecandy here and there. ;) |
