In a strange twist, as you suggested Elva_Rokk, today I ran the Armageddon cinematic scenario in the "LOME 5.0.4 Mod" and the Orange Sky worked even though I did not try to install the "AOME_LTA_Textures_Patch.bar" file into my Textures folder like the instructions said, and even though when I checked the skies.xmb file in the LOME Mod just now, that "skies.xmb" file did not have an Orange Sky line.
The Scenario's Trigger #329 has an effect called "Render Sky", which tells the game to use "SkyOrange". This command seems to mean that the Player's data folder's skies.xml file (packed into the data2.bar file there) have a line saying "Sky Orange" just like it has four other lines for four other "Sky_____" types.

When I tried the scenario on HARD using the LOME Mod yesterday, there was a neat meteor effect.
The meteors didn't work today when I tried the scenario on the HARD Difficulty without the LOME Mod. In the Editor, the Scenario's Triggers give a "god power" to a Player, but the box for the name of the power is blank/empty. Maybe this is why the effect only works in the LOME Mod. I also tried my fixed "Version 2" of this scenario in AOM:EE on Steam with the LOME Mod, and I got the music and orange sky to work there, but the meteors did not occur.
