This file is based on a city location in Bethesda Studio's latest masterpiece 'Skyrim'.
I created it because I am a big fan of not just 'Skyrim' but the Elder scrolls series
leading on from 'Morrowind'. I hope you enjoy playing this scenario as much as I enjoyed
making it, and if you have the game (which is very likely, you would be crazy not to buy it)
I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing it and playing over it in RTS format.
The rules are simple. You play as the Stormcloaks (Odin) in the fight to free Skyrim and
renew the worship of Talos, the man ascended god. Your enemy is of course the Imperials
(Loki) who have a base on the opposite side of Whierun. It is a simple classic style
Age Of Mythology skirmish you play with normal Norse buildings and units. No mods necessary.
I recommend getting your hands on the skyrim soundtrack and playing that instead of the AOM
music it makes a big difference to the feel of the map even for those who dont play Skyrim
The terrain is certainly not spot on to the game, Whiterun is smaller which means all the
buildings are either in different places or not there at all, but I have ensured to keep
all the important landmarks including Jorrvaskr and The temple of Kynareth. (Dragon's Reach
is a fine centrepiece) The lands surrounding include some of the dangers you encounter as
the dragon born, which you now face as a Stormcloak commander including Bandits, Giants,
Spriggans and even the Dragon Priest 'Vokun'. The mountain 'Throat Of The World' has had its
peek cut off because Age Of Mythology editor does not allow terrain movement past a certain
height and the lands firther from Whiterun have been modified from Skyrim's version to
accomodate the 2 new holds that will be created by you and your opponent and to allow you
to still have room to manouver* you forces.
Feel free to edit! I hope that any other editors who have skills in triggers and sound
will take this scenario and improve it I would love to see what can be done with it.
Please upload updated versions if you do them so that I can see how it turns out
Lol Skyrim? I heard of that, I also heard the company tried to sue mojang for making a little joke by adding the words the elder scroll when you decode a enchanting message :P. I guess I might check your map out when I can download it.
