I think I started this version a few months ago, basically just to see how hard it would be. It was a balance test from the start, took me a few hours to get it running. But it was ridiculously difficult to balance... apparently, human units are particularly particular about their counter units, and myth units don't do all that much bonus damage against them. Give the solider another hundred hitpoints and a few buddies, and they walk all over myth units. This is why your temple spawns Automatons instead of shades.

As you probably have deduced, I've added armies of human units that attack the Castle (as opposed to the myth units from earlier versions), and as the game goes on these armies will get larger, as the game goes on, you get more heroes/myth units, etc. etc.

Featuring:

All three of the Greek Special units (myrmidon, gastraphetes, and Hetairoi).
You start out in the Mythic age
There are the four difficulty settings,
Only the one initial cinematic,
A respawning relic, take it and another will appear in it's place,
Some interesting eyecandy,
A fight built to suit the defensive player who doesn't mind an adrenaline rush from fighting fifty myth units at a time,
All the good campaign heroes (Kemsyt, Gargarensis, and Kamos aren't available).
Eventually you'll get to fight a Titan (Never played it that far; that's 8000 seconds in).
Two SoO, and twelve Valkyries,
Sexy Assistant is available (If you have the Cheat Code)
An end, based on how many units killed, more for higher difficulty,

It's pretty fun, no bugs whatsoever, works great

Balance: 2
I played it on medium, walled a bit build tons of towers and stacked up 100+ archers and I took out the armies easily without the need of myth units...

Creativity: 4
I played all the versions of castle and the first one was the best,

Map Design: 5
I like this map a lot because it's built in a way you only have to defend from one side which is what I prefer

Story/Instructions: 5
Instructions pretty easy to follow, no problem

Additional Comments:
It's too easy if you know what to do and you can also just wall around where they spawn and wipe them all out with archers from outside, no real balance
theonefrog5545 Instructions are not very good. I've played this and all it said was "This works like previous versions".
What's the goal? Survive as long as possible? And what's the relic for?

Also, I was kept being sent infantry mostly...

You're supposed to put the relic in your temple.
mgs15 wow! looks good... did not have enough time on my first try, but i have noticed that there are minor mistakes such as the enemy's name still "Monsters". These are now human soldiers haha, possibly you can name them as "spartans" or other powerful group of warriors. Also, putting more siege weapons on enemy's army and reducing the Towers Hitpoints (or at least on higher difficulties) can prove challenge on the game. Also i suggest to apply the rukle that once the castle has been destroyed the player is defeated rule.

Anyways, nice idea, Hammer! just a few more polishing and this should be a success like the original Castle

Been a long time since I've checked my submitted maps, and don't tend to have access to internet for my computer any more either, but thanks for the ideas, and suggestions. Will modify the map when I get the chance and may eventually get to update the file.
