wow, that's a lot of scenarios in a short period of time. You should showcase them in the Scenario and Design forums. |

Playability: 3
This scenario has so much potenial here that it is genuinely frustrating to have to rate it this low. First off, this scenario is very fun to play. It has great stat upgrades, so you feel like you are always progressing. It has a great feeling of discovery and adventure, so that you never get bored. However, this is unfortunately overshadowed by two problems. The first is the ridiculous difficultly level. Most of the time it is perfect, not to hard, not to easy. But the parts that are hard make the scenario completely unplayable. The primary problem with the difficulty level is that there will be so many enemies spawning, or so little space to move, that it becomes impossible to move your character. Secondly, the classes are largely imbalanced. I started off with Bason, who dies literally on the first five minions you fight. Some of the other classes are very well done, such as Lara and Arthas, but some feel very unfinished and untested.
Balance: 3
Like I said in the above section, the balance goes from perfect to impossible on a regular basis. This needs to be improved, either less enemies should be spawning, or they should be less powerful.
Creativity: 5
I don't think I have ever seen a scenario of this type done for Age of Mythology, so good job on coming up with an original idea. It doesn't feel like I have played this before or that it borrows elements from other scenarios.
Map Design: 4
Generally, I loved the map design for this scenario. It was beautiful and gave the scenario true atmosphere, along with the music. However, I have a few complaints, the first being that the huge pillars you extended over the tomb sometimes made it difficult to see and move my character, which sometimes resulted in a frustrating death. The second complaint is that sometimes I wished the halls were sometimes a bit bigger, as they were difficult to navigate at times.
Story/Instructions: 3
Though the instructions were good, I felt they could have been a bit more concise, such as explaining some basic battle mechanics. (I learned not to charge in and kill everything the hard way.) Also, I felt a bit more story would have been good, like explaining why your character is exploring the tomb.
Additional Comments:
This scenario has so much potential to be truly great it hurts. With some major improvement to the difficulty level, some map design tweaks and a bit more story, this very well could be a 5 star scenario. |

Thank's a lot!
You catched me, I didn't playtest myself. I thought no one would choose me, he he he...
About the halls, well, they got through an enlarge process; they're big enough for me to play.
And the difficulty: the boss fight is meant to be hard since is a boss fight, I don't know to explain, and the scorpions lair sends a warning message before you enter.
Press 'tab' to remove any kind of healing; now that'll make the game really hard.
Thanks again for the review, dude, and... for riding my tomb!
I should have submitted an epic X-mas scen with Santa & toy making dwarves by now, but due to a mix of... parents-highschool issues it won't be ready this year.
Farewell... guys! |
