ABE is a revolution. Tasev presents the biggest innovation in Age of Mythology modding since AoMED was released in 2003.
Put simply, ABE allows you to make models the way Ensemble Studios made them. You will be facing no constraints whatsoever: animation length, materials, and attachpoints will now be taken from 3ds Max directly. In contrast to AoMED, no "base model" is required. In addition, Tasev is giving you access to a range of interesting options that were previously little-known (e.g. animated textures, mesh/material flags like "FOLLOWTERRAIN").
The UI is clear and simple and integrates well with 3ds Max. At version 3.0, ABE is stable and reliable. Even so, Tasev is continuing to support ABE with bug fixes and feature patches. The source code can be obtained from his github site:
