Second episode of my small campaign.

The game :

The scenario is pretty straight forward. I was expecting more of an RPG style map, but it turned on to be a supremacy game play(not that there's anything wrong with that).
I found the game to be extremely long and it just got repetitive(40 minutes of defending your settlement). All you are required to do is defend your 3 settlements and there are no other variations of game play. The way the game plays out you are forced to constantly spam military units and buildings and stay in defend mode not allowing you to explore the huge map as the enemy is constantly harrassing you.
The repetitiveness was obvious also with the timing of the wave of the opponent's army attacking my bases as well as the god powers the opponent used on me(lighting storm west, undermine east, implode north)
I was able to find some caravans but there were blocked out. The instructions had said something good would happen if i find them, yet nothing happened. I didnt see any enemies to which i thought i would have to kill but again i did not see any. I did find some villagers out in the west. I killed a myth unit and all i received for it was the 3 villagers(worthless) and a house. So even when exploring the map the player isnt rewarded enough for making the sacriface.
Its challenging enough and if played carefully by ONLY defending you can win the game. Althrough as I've said earlier you have this large map, yet due to the amount of the opponent's military units spread all over the map plus the constant harrasment of the settlements it doesnt allow the player to explore, or get additional resources like gold mines. I feel like the opponent was too much control over the map.
The cinematic and the story line are spot on. I was hooked with the intro! However as the supremacy game style started it tragged on for too long. there is no variety in game play, there is no role of the main character Sarah after that. There is no involment with Ragnir or his town for that matter. Is just a long, repetitive supremacy game dragged on for 40 minutes.
And after you finally manage to defend your bases, which took 40 minutes to do so, the gameplay cuts to a very short cinematic where Ragnir takes off in a boat basically saying "thanks for defending, cya!" After that amount of time spent in the scenario is was dissapointed for the game to end so sudden. No acknowledgement of Sarah, no details on the enemy or your efforts. It just ends.
Map Design: 4
Ragnir's town is full of eye candy. It portrays strong map design skill, especially with the intro cinematic. During game play i wasnt able to explore much of the map so i had to look at the map in the editor. Over all the map is detailed and I can see the amount of effort and time you put on it. Well done!
The storyline at the beginning seemed strong and interesting. There is not much of a story after that. Again, 40 minutes of defending. No dialog between the main characters, no more cinematics(until the end). Instructions were quite clear. Any player is able to understand the instructions and objectives. I didnt have any issues with that.
For the end (no cinematic) because i will do it in next episode, before the final map but sorry for it.
I am thinking to remake the map trigger attack, then the map should be more enjoyable. (will see when i have time)
