Last time Our hero Runner was escaping from the avalanche, this time a brand new faction will be fighting the Avalanche to end it's menace once and for all.
Since Odin is powerless we will be controlling the god Loki this time around. It is still the same story. Winter God has gone mad and opened the magical gates of never-ending winter to control the world with cold.
This scenario is much harder than its predecessor. I advise you to use the pause button quite regularly.
Train Several Hersirs
Send them to the abandoned village
Escort the fire giants to the Avalanche
Use your frost god power to freeze the Avalanche
Destroy the Avalanche using your fire giants
The map is quite challenging. I had to play it a few times. I found it very entertaining, having to be on the look out to use my god powers while spamming hersir and moving fire giants to the avalanche. It certainly keeps the player busy and entertained!. I do feel it gets a bit repetitive(hence not a perfect 5) but nonetheless fun to play.
I did have an issue with a wolf that i accidentally killed. Its body obstructed by trojan horse and I wasnt able to pick up my fire giants and drop them off quickly enough. I wish the path for the trojan horse was wider to avoid these obstruction issues.
Also due to the high elevation you are too zoomed in, making it frustrating to move units and move about the map.
The game is challenging. As long as you pay attention to the avalanche and assure the fire giants and transported quickly enough it is balanced and playable.
There is not much an intro, no cinematics or dialogs. I did find the avalanche idea very cool and entertaining as well as the use of god powers and the use of hersir to make fire giants. The lack of storyline and instructions at the beginning was a bit of a killer.
Map Design: 3
Map design was ok, though it could have used some extra details/eye candy. The town that was threatened by the avalanche looked nice, though again it could have used additional eye candy. You have quite a large map, yet you only use a part of it. I looked at the map design on the editor and realized most of the map is just forest(unaccesable).
Not much of a story, or instructions at the beginning. Whats the relation between the tartarian gate and the abalanche?
