Count Dracula: 10th Anniversary Edition
I have decided to re-release Count Dracula as it has now been more than 11 years since the original came out. This is hugely nostalgic for me, and I hope you enjoy playing it as much I have making it.
||AoM: The Titans
This new version features a few little extra bits. It is by no means perfect, but it is good fun if you have a spare hour or so.
Below is the original description from 2004/2005:
It was so tempting. The diamond was just sitting there, in the shop. The jeweller had just gone out of the room, it seemed the perfect opportunity. You Grabbed the diamond, and at that exact moment, two members of Gormines armed guard came round the corner, and you had the largest and most valuable diamond known to man in your hands. They looked at you, and started closing in. You looked from side to side, trying to see if there was a safe exit. The guards were getting closer, and were blocking the only way out, apart from the chimney. You leapt towards the empty fire place, the diamond still in your hands. Putting the diamond into your leather pouch, you held onto the first rung on the chimney. And with all your might, you climbed. You were very far up the chimney before the guards were at the bottom. But still you climbed.
When you got the top, you could see the roofs of all Gormines houses. You ran over the roof of the house you had just been in, and threw yourself on to the next. By that time, the guards had caught up and were just coming out of the chimney. You knew that if you were caught, exile would be the lightest charge. You ran on, but your tired legs gave way and at that moment you tripped over and fell down the three storys to the pebbled path below. You didn't remember anything else after that....
As you had guessed, exile was the lightest charge. The ship left the port of Gormine early that morning. As the shore got further and further away, the more you and more you realized that you would miss it.
Three weeks past before you arrived at your destination, the terrorized land of Hagdan. Legend has it that a terrible blood-sucking vampire, that goes by the name of Count Dracula, has been killing and terrorising this land for many centurys. What would be there?
You were given a map when you were thrown ashore.
'The only way you'll ever go back to Gormine is if you kill Dracula!' smirked the guards as they threw you off the ship.
The map says that there is a town called Betheran, you must go there to find shelter and work. Good Luck.

Please? I need to discuss how to do Trample Damage for one of the LOTTA units
Thanks in Advance
Well, after playing this multiple times throughout the year, on and off, I'm finally deciding to review it, even though I haven't actually finished it. It got a little frustrating with the length of time it took to walk throughout the map, sometimes only to find out I was outnumbered during a fight. I did find myself using the LETS GO! NOW! cheat from time to time. It's been a while since I last played this so most of this review is coming from my memory of months ago, but I wanted to get this review done as it's way overdue since the request. Like I said it was a lot of walking, and sometimes units would get stuck by the town with the temple. If I recall I also got stumped when I believe I was supposed to see an old man, and I think I did, but nothing happened. I spent a lot of time walking around trying to figure out what to do. Maybe make the quest objectives more set-in-stone, like putting them in the objectives or the chat, so the player can scroll up or hit the objectives button. I did save and load a lot, and I think on one of those occasions the roc was bugged. I got inside the roc like I was told or understood to, and nothing happened.
I used WRATH OF THE GODS, and I'm not one to use cheats in a single player scenario like this. The Kamos guy was way overpowered. There were some other parts where when you just had Jason he would just barely make it out alive.
You get a perfect for creativity because this scenario has all the good elements of an RPG, like buying things, talking to people, a day/night cycle (if I remember), good characters, plenty of quests (although sometimes confusing), and choices.
Map Design: 4
The map was almost flawless, but it was just too big, and some parts were hard to navigate because of the tight terrain or small spaces, but I loved the caves and the forests. Everything looked lifelike.
Well Dracula is not an original concept, but I'm sure you probably had your own story to tell in this scenario, and the characters and their roles were great. The instructions however were confusing at times, and I found myself reloading my saves a lot, and if I still didn't get anywhere, I would restart.
Additional Comments: This wasn't meant to be harsh, even if it sounded like it. I really wanted to give this a much higher rating as it's a very good map upon first glance, and has the potential to be perfect, but the issues I ran into made it hard to find the time to get through. I think I ended up getting to a part where I had a choice if I wanted to end the game or not. I did... many years ago. As you may know I played the original version of this, and I ended it quickly last time I played. But I wanted to keep going this time, so I kept going, but still couldn't go further either because of lack of time from walking so much, I was outnumbered, or I just got stuck.
