Age of Minecraft Shard 7: the Textures and others

Author File Description
File Details
Version: AoM: The Titans
Collect them all, install, and enjoy a brand new kind of game. It's what would happen if Ensemble Studios merged Minecraft with Age of Mythology.

Here are a few honorary guests from other mods, to name the ones you'll notice the most. Give these guys Cu-does for their modpacks, cause they're awesome:

Stephan Caines -> The Balrog
crazydragon -> the Tripod models, emperor scorpion and it's babies, the extra titaness models and the Meganura
Damocles -> the Colossus's new model
FlipBizcut -> the Hive Spiders mode for the various spider mobs
GURE -> the Rock Titan
Egmar -> the Minotaur mage's texture
hoodedwarbler12 -> the Blaze's texture

the rest is all me.

update 1.01- 2015,June,6
-improved gameplay
-fixed some bugs
-made the 5th age gods more fun :)
-balanced gameplay

crazydragon Wow 7 downloads for this, Ill check it out when I get time.
TheGreatDuck Hey, umm... Could you make better instructions for installing? I suspect everything is messed up. All the icons and text in-game isn't working, temples are invisible and the map editor (so I could take a peek at new units) is completely wrecked. I'd appreciate some guidance on how to install each file properly or better yet, I'd like a copy of the compiled versions so I can quit using aomed to make it work! :p

You need to install all the shards, put them together if you like, and drag and drop them into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology folder. It's that simple.
TheGreatDuck I don't understand what you mean by 'install'. I downloaded each of the shards. Then, I found their corresponding files (models2.bar, sounds2.bar, etc.) and decompressed them using AOMED. Then, (while saving the original stuff) copied the Age of Minecraft source into the folder and recompiled it.

Are you trying to tell me that I'm not supposed to copy but rather compile the Age of Minecraft by itself as brand new source?

If that's the case then I'd really appreciate better instructions next time. It's very annoying having to decompile, convert, reconvert, etc. only to find out that TE stuff simply gets shoved out of the way. :p good job on the logos for the gods and title screen though. Looks like an awesome and well made mod. It's just a pain trying to figure out how to install these things.

NO! the files in question need to be put in Age of Mythology, not a different folder. And those .bar files where not suppose to be their. All the files are aren't .bar. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll fix this in a moment. Be sure to re-download constantly as the files, another thing that's reminiscent of Minecraft, update all the time. :)
TheGreatDuck I don't think you understand what I am trying to explain...

You've posted source code that needs to be compiled, correct? (Referring to all shards here). If I just copy/paste them then nothing would happen. In order to have them work you must compile them into the form AOM TE uses: I.E. Sounds use sounds2.bar, animations use anim2.bar, etc. This is how modding works in AOM. Telling someone to just copy the files directly to AOM would be idiotic. My question is on whether or not your contents of each folder is the /complete/ Age of Minecraft source or merely extra source that must be placed into the AOM TE source once it's been decompressed.

Yes, the second one is correct! And I don't know how to put files into a .bar. If you could show me how, I'd be grateful.
TheGreatDuck Ok, well then I'll look through what I did. It's highly probable that I jazzed something up while converting. XD Re-looking at the mod it appears that I might be suffering from a couple issues of operator error (although the YMIR-esque "giant zombie" is awesome as well as flaming Cerberus) . :p I'll probably recompile stuff and try again later.

Well, do you have AOMED? It's a program on this site. Download it. Then, you'll see two sets of two file selections with compilation and de compilation buttons beneath them. Select the appropriate files and enjoy. IDK if AOM heaven discourages the fully compiled versions from being put up but if you could it would make my installation much easier.

I do have AOMED. It's been the major player in my modding experience. I wouldn't have been able to bring in the Balrog without it, after all.
