Yet another game in my old nickname, I gotta change that! :)
A few tips:
Walls are really important as they reduce the possibility of rushes by a good margin, always wall off places that can be potential entry spots, especially those that are away from your main force or those which end in a large worker population, you don't want to lose 10 workers early, thats 500 food!
Don't get carried away by the sound of war, that happens to me from time to time, I get so into the fight that I forget about the rest of my stuff and end up with dead troops and a broken economy.
If you're playing with the Norse always remember to make a few (2-3) longhouses and maybe a temple while you're attacking, after you start pushing troops out of them, you can keep up the weight of the attack and keep the enemy from building defenses and training troops.
I suggest checking the ally-enemy colors check box in the options, very handy in group fights, keeps you focused and reminds you who are the bad guys.
Thank you for watching (and reading) more coming soon, hopefully some against IRL opponents if I get the time to set up my gaming host.
