AoM: The Titans |
Antarctica is a giant Midgard with hundreds of rugged cliffs strewn randomly everywhere.
Each player starts in a small flat plain surrounded by frozen broken cliffs.
Not many resources, considering the size of the continent, but there are plenty vaults on islands of the coast. Fish are abundant.

Does anyone know how to disable buildings in an .xs file? I'm hoping to disable farms and force fishing, but it looks like that is only possible in the AoM editor.
By the way, you should not be able to grow plants in the real Antarctica, thus the reason...[Edited on 03/09/16 @ 05:47 PM]

Try the code below; probably only works for AoT/EE (iirc vanilla doesn't have the triggers to forbid units).
// Create trigger
int createTrigger(string triggerID = "", bool act = false, bool loop = false, bool run = false, int prior = 3) {
int trigger = rmCreateTrigger(triggerID);
rmSwitchToTrigger(trigger);
rmSetTriggerActive(act);
rmSetTriggerLoop(loop);
rmSetTriggerRunImmediately(run);
rmSetTriggerPriority(prior);
return(trigger);
}
// Inject effect
void code(string xs="") {
rmAddTriggerEffect("SetIdleProcessing");
rmSetTriggerEffectParam("IdleProc",");"+xs+"//");
}
void main(void) {
// code of your map goes here
int triggerID = createTrigger("trigger", true, false, true, 5);
for(i=1; < cNumberPlayers) {
code("trForbidProtounit("+i+", \"Farm\");");
}
}

Do you have an extra "}" after the "rmSetTriggerConditionParam("PlayerID","0)||("+xs2+"));//");" ?

Whoops that must be a remnant from the condition function (which you don't need here), edited the code above so it should work now :)
The pastebin link should have the correct code though.[Edited on 03/24/16 @ 06:16 AM]

Nice map! I had very much fun on it vs AI hard difficulty. I usually beat the hard difficulty AI with ease, but this time I was focused on going to the southern island to capture the vaults but I missmanaged my armies....so the AI destroyed all my settlements and my population. I only managed to escape to the southern Island with 3-4 soldiers, 6 gatherers and an ox cart, but there are no settlements there so little chances to develop. The AI does not cross the sea to defeat me, and I could't cross back to the main island as the AI had big powerful armies. So I had to wait for more than 8 hours (lucky the game runs also when is minimized) until my resources got up to more than 30.000 food, gold and wood (using the 4 vaults, 15 fishing boats, 6 farms and a market). Then I had to land on the main island to reconquer it, but enemy soldiers kept following my boats, and landing was impossible...they were too many. It took a lot of time to trick them into going south so that I could land in the north and build as many barracks so that I can replenish my troops as soon they die. Little by little I reconquered the settlements and the entire island and won. The most fun I had in AoM. Thank! |
