Version: AoM: The Titans
Conquer the mountain of the Gods!

This RM is inspired by the original Titans campaign scenario and the Basics of the script are taken from "Mad Supremacy" by sss94.

Unfortunately you have to install some "new old" textures, because there are no cliffs among the Olympus-tiles.

Nevertheless: I hope you will darely enjoy the Map ;)

Aquakitty Wow this website is messed up.
They need to get this off Googles sht list.

Anyways I'd love to use the map, but some textures aren't showing up. We put the files in the textures>terrain folder as specified but there are spots with no textures (I think the cliffs you were referring to in the txt file).

Did you copy the terraintypes.xml into the same folder?

If you may have installed it already from an other mod you need to insert the text below:

"< subtype>CliffOlympus< /subtype>"

(but remove the spaces!)

Make shure you place it under the category "Cliff"

Aquakitty Yea, it's in there the way it's supposed to be, but still no textures. I can post a screen if it helps. I think it must be the cliffs, it's like it's not reading the texture file at all.

The map normally should work absolutely correct...
I'm sorry, but this is all I can tell you at the moment.
Does anybody else have the same problem?
Aquakitty Where does the script call the terrain xml file? Everything looks fine in there but it seems like it's not accessing that file.

I don't get you anymore:
There is no need to call a "terrain.xml"
The download contains the new terraintypes.xml
And this one (if you put it in the corresponding
folder) will override your gamedata into a terraintypes.xmb

Aquakitty Yes, I didn't say terrain.xml. I said terrain xml. I was referring to terraintypes.xml but was too lazy to type the whole thing.

What I am trying to say is our game does not load the cliffOlympus from this file, for some reason.

Both of us tried it with AOM Extended Edition. Everything looks fine in the files, but the cliffs in that map won't load.

I don't seem to have a terraintypes.xmb anywhere in the game install.

terraintypes.xml is here:

C:\Games\Age of Mythology Extended Edition\textures\terrain


C:\Games\Age of Mythology Extended Edition\textures\terrain

And the maps in the rm2 folder.

I'm not shure about the compatibility of normal titan textures and AoM:EE...
Please try to copy your own OlympusB and rename it as CliffOlympus.
Aquakitty Hi again,

Just thought I'd report back, that resaving the CliffOlympus from Olympusb, and using my own terraintypes.xml but adding CliffOlympus to it manually fixed the issue so the map is playable.

I didn't realise that with the Extended Edition you can load maps as "mods" so no real need to change any game files.

The only issue is with 4 players the gold didn't seem to distribute properly.
