This is an edited map base on the original campaign map 29. I have changed some of the landscape, and added a lot of eye candies making it a beautiful map. [I have attached the original game map for you to see how much has changed and how much more beautiful details had been added :) ]
This map is once again (just like my New Atlantis) non playable, with no story, no triggers, cinematic. However, it is of no doubt a beautiful piece and it is now up to you whether or not you would like to create a campaign for it or to improve its landscape.
Description and the story behind the Map:
This is a kingdom belong to Folstag the Frost Giant and it is well hidden in the mountain range. Humans, dwarfs and frost giants coexist in this awesome kingdom.
The entrance is a human village with farms and houses, it is guarded by soldiers and is a peaceful, beautiful village.
Moving on is the choice between going through the gold mountain or going into the mountain cave. The first option is a dangerous mountain path full of wolves, mountain giants and other predators. The latter option is a mining colony that belongs to the Dwarven empire, full of weapons forge and gold mines.
After you past the mine, you will enter the military barracks, it is where the army trains and reside. Above the camp, is a recently erupted volcano which attracted a Nidhogg to nest and lay eggs. The volcanic lava is begining to melt the glacier above the mountain and you can see that the soldiers are working together in teams, building dams, trying their best to prevent the melting glacier to flood the kingdom.
Past the military camp, you can see the entrance to the kingdom itself, the upper section belongs to the humans and is lead by a Valkyrie. North of this section is where the original dangerous mountain path would have led you to if you survive the ruthless attacks from the predators. You can see that the entrance to the mountain path is heavily guarded by soldiers armed with Ballista, keeping the city safe from mountain giants. You can also see a pond of water with the passage to the underworld submerged. It is also guarded by frost giants who will freeze the water and the entrance together with it if beings from the underworld were to invade.
South of the village is the frost giants fortress. You can see that all the buildings are enlarged according to the size of frost giants. A dwarf would no doubt be overwhelmed. King Folstag resides here, and his personal quarter contains a sky passage. This sky passage can lead one all the way to an island nearby.
This island is surrounded by heavy fog and steep cliffs making it non accessible by any party. It is in fact an artificial landscape created by Thor who battled the strong Ice titan and fell. Before his demise, he used his hammer and forge this landscape to imprison the Titan, and left the hammer there to guard it.
Once again, a beautifully made map. Maybe a bit more focus at the path towards folstag's castle? like some more details, like stones, barrels, civilian interaction, etc. Other than that, its all well done.
Love the melting glacier and the leaking dam, it is so cool, clever touch with the shrunk atlantian fountains on carts as well as dams!
