I don't usally review demos, but I think this deserved it.

Playability: 5
I was suprised.. Very suprised. To be honest, I was expecting some half-done RPG demo people put out and forget about. I was proven wrong! This demo was, to my suprise, a joy to play. Not often does that happen.

I loved the rotating cameras to better see the adventure ahead of me. Gave me a Playstation feel.

Balance: 4
It was hard to make it to the very end. You have to use a combo wisely. However, I dont thing the creator intended this, rather just placed random "bad guys" Along a path.

Pro: Good matchups - great balance
Cons: Random Luck?

Creativity: 3
The story was nothing special. I'd like to see it develop into something unique and not have to follow a clich.

Map Design: 4
To be honest, when I first opened the map I said to myself, "This is going to earn a 3 In map Design". The opening path, Yes, the famous you start on a path in the corner magically in a forest path, was plain and boring. It was just a road with forests around it. No eye candy, no visual effects. But it got better, and lead to the next thing . . . One thing the author did VERY well was mountains, hills etc. I was suprised to see the hidden paths I had to figure out to get through. Great job. However, one point in the map looked like a bug. I could go from snowy mountains to grass farmlands in one step. That just didnt look right. Add a mountain border, atleast.

Story/Instructions: 3
When creating a demo, you should ethier open up with a plot, or atleast a small character backround check in instructions. The whole plot was discussed in the duration of the demo, but it will turn people off if they open up a map and have no instructions on who the map they about to play. If you choose to "open the story" over a little gameplay, atleast introduce the main character that way while the story unfolds, the player feels he is the main character. This makes the story more involved.

Additional Comments:
All and all, I recommend this demo. While nothing special on storylines, this ranks high on gameplay for me. I hope to see this author develop the story farther and release a hit for the Downloads Central to see.
