The scenario didn't work at all (i.e. none of the triggers did) until I replaced the "Unit Create Multi" trigger for the Fire Giants by an "Army Deploy". Does it need some extra utility program to run properly?

The rating here should probably even be 1 because the scenario did not work at all. I had to replace a trigger first to get it to run. And there is another major flaw: It is possible to kill the big statue from the 'wrong' side and get the Fire Giants plus the Minions right from the start.
The balance could have been all right if it were not for the flaw mentioned above. But as it is the Minions make it much too easy. Even the Guardian offers no real challenge when faced with several hundreds of them.
I think the idea of a labyrinth has potential, but there is nothing you can do in there except fighting. Perhaps you could add a riddle or two? The 'infinite Minions' were a nice idea, though.

There are none. The standard assumption 'kill everything you see' proved to be right again…
I like the idea with the Minions, but if want to you give the player access to more than 10'000 of them you need to keep that force balanced somehow.
