UPDATE: We fixed the problem with gnomes_townsfolk.scn being playable as Gaia. Enjoy!
You can play this scenario on whichever side you choose - the gnomes or the townsfolk. This is a humorous tale, but the game plays quite seriously and there is a strict time limit to complete your task.
Be sure to read the readme file and the objectives/hint/spotlight inside the scenario.

Playability: 3
The scenario works well and quickly, in fact there are few units and just 2 cities.
Balance: 3
This scenario is nearly like a random map scenario but ther is a good introduction and some nice and comic scenes during the game.
Creativity: 4
It’s very creative for 2 reasons: irony and the possibility of playing the same scenario with 2 different points of views.
Map Design: 2
The map is varied but (at least in my opinion) too small.
Story/Instructions: 2
The objective is simple otherwise it doesn’t necessitate something more complex

I had trouble with this scenario set. The gnomes_gnomes scenario seemed to work fine; though a bit easy to win. But the gnomes_townsfolk scenario did not run right. After the cinematics, I was mother nature, not the townsfolk player. I could control the deer, caribou, wolves, chickens, frost giant, etc. Which was interesting but I would like to play this scenario correctly as it gets high ratings and seems fun. I'm hoping the author or someone that has seen this problem will visit here and solve my dilema. I get this problem on two different computers. I'm guessing it is somewhere in the cinematics since the gnomes_gnomes cinematics look okay but the gnomes_townsfolk cinematics don't. Or maybe because of an update to AoM since it has worked for others. I looked at it with the editor but couldn't see anything obvious.

To answer my own question: load the file in editor, play test it as player 1 and save it back. After making my first comment, I did what I should have done in the first place and searched the Scenario Design forum and found the answer.

Jugit: Thank you for downloading and playing our scenario. We're sorry about the entire Gaia problem, when we playtested it previously it didn't do that because we had already tested it as player 1 in the editor. But we have fixed the problem and released the patched version. If you have any more problems or comments, please feel free to email us, as we don't often check the ratings. Thank you!
