Soaked in blood, with only an ounce of life left in you,you are taken before the almighty Kemsyt. The axmen throw you on the floor like any other worthless pesent. But you know you are not. Kemsyt tricked you and now your once great empire lies in ruins, and you are at the mercy of a mad-man.
'I have reached my verdict' said Kemsyt delightfully. In your mind, you know what it will be...
'I have found you guilty, and you shall be burned alive at dawn tomorrow, and may your soul wander forever more in the vast realms of eternity.'
Shaken, hardly understanding what was just said, you are carried off to a cell where you will spend your last night, or so Kemsyt thinks...
Wow.
3 months work, about 100 triggers and a load of camera tracks might finally have payed off!!

if your saying that cahan never did a thing, thats because when you get the tc, its Cahan that give it to you! |

The point is that is doesn't matter what you intended to do. It matters how the player reacts to what happens in the game. When the beaker people promise to help but don't, I think "trigger error". When some of the people in Cahan don't convert, I think "seems as if he forgot about the starting units".
I'd suggest to have the beaker people say something like "we won't fight you any more". Then forbid the starting units at Cahan and remove the pharaoh from the game. Like that the player won't have reason to jump to "trigger error", because the game behaves according to what is said in the dialogs.
Oh, and I know of course who 'Player 1' is supposed to be. But my imagination fails when it comes to liberated slaves chanting something like "All hail our saviour, player 1!". Why not just give the main character a name?
But as I said in my review, these are just details. The main problems in my opinion are the 'dead' map and the passive enemies.

The scenario was cool. but there weren't 100 triggers! there were just 28. and if you think the effects and conditions count as triggers, you are wrong.
The first time i played this scenario, the red comp killed the green villager who were getting gold and i lost! it wasn't fair. they weren't supposed to die. |
